Fields of Ruin Scosglen Side Quest

Objectives

• Pick up the Druid Wardstones
  After speaking to Phelan and learning about his problems, pick up the Druid Wardstones nearby.

• Place the Wardstones
  There are three locations around the farm you must place the Wardstones. You will be fighting through a lot of Goatmen enemies as you do this.

• Speak to Phelan

• Travel to the Unhallowed Pits
  Head to the southeast part of The Downs and the Blood Clan’s hideout.

• Slay Blood Clan Khazra to draw out Blackhorn
  Kill as many Blood Clan as you can to fill the meter and lure out Blackhorn.

• Slay Blackhorn and acquire his head
  Blackhorn will spawn once you’ve killed enough Blood Clan. He is the Chieftain of the Blood Clan and is Fire Enchanted. He can leap and slam his massive axe on the floor, creating a flaming attack on the ground around him. Standing directly underneath him will also cause fire damage. He will also shoot fireballs at cardinal points from beneath him. His melee attacks can also deal a large amount of damage. Pick up his head once he’s dead.

• Return to Phelan
  Go back to Phelan and give him the head of Blackhorn to complete the quest.

• Find Phelan in Blycroft to begin this quest.

In-Game Description

Blycroft farms in the Downs are having problems with constant khazra attacks. Artair, a young druid newly arrived in the area, has brought wardstones to deter the attacks. I should help him place them around the farm.

I’ve finished placing the wardstones. I should return to Phelan to see if he has any more tasks for me.
After you have placed the three Wardstones, return to Phelan to learn more.

Phelan is skeptical of Artair’s solution to the khazra problem. He would like me to take a more direct approach by killing the khazra chieftain and bringing a trophy back.

I must slay Blackhorn and bring his head back to Phelan. Slaughtering his clansmen in the Unhallowed Pits should draw him out.

I have killed Blackhorn and acquired his head. I should bring it back to Phelan at Blycroft Manor.
