Deep in the swamps of Hawezar, this village is said to harbor a great mystery.

Description

A stronghold of the Serpent Cultists, who have overtaken a swampy village in the south central region of Hawezar, near the Reach of Adulation.

We recommend taking a Poison Resistance Flask or gear to this place, since almost every enemy deals some form of poison modifier.

Objectives:

Explore Vyeresz - To enter the Stronghold, approach the wooden gate barred shut, then enter via a round wooden hut to enter the Stronghold properly. You will then approach a set of stone people, petrified bear a gate that locks the rest of the Stronghold.
Find and destroy the Serpent’s Eyes - You need to find the Cult Leaders, which resides in small round wooden huts with a swamp roofing. Once you defeat the Cult Leader, you can head inside these huts, and find Serpent Eye statues, that you can break by interacting wit them. One is in the far east of the Stronghold, and another is in the northwest of the stronghold.
Open the Serpent’s Eye Door - Go back to the middle of the camp, and interact with the snake door that blocks the rest of the stronghold off to you.
Survive the Cultist Onslaught - When you start opening the door, the petrified people near the door will turn alive, and attack you over the course of the timer. Kill them all to proceed further.
Explore Vyeresz Temple Ruins - Now the door is open, head through, and fight all the Nagari enemies and other snake creatures in this are. You will eventually come to an area in the northeast of the temple that completes this objective.
Slay Dianthus - Dianthus is a boss enemy at the end of the Stronghold, which is basically one of the Giant Nangari Longfang enemies. Avoid its big slams, poisons and you’ll be fine. Throughout the fight, be mindful of the small snake creatures that spawn to assist the boss. so you will need to kill them otherwise more continue to spawn as the fight progress,making it easy to get overwhelmed if you’re a squishy class or build. It has a knockback attack as well which can send you into some of the pools in the floor.
Rekindle the Wanderer’s Shrine. Go back to the start of thee Stronghold and rekindle the shrine to complete the Stronghold.

Completing this area will award players with Shadow Plunge dungeon, which awards the Aspect of Branching Volleys legendary aspect. for the Codex of Power. You also get access to the Vyeresz Waypoint.
