The Absolute’s power radiates from this shield, invisible waves of energy beckoning to the Branded.

Effects/Special Abilities

• Absolute’s Aegis: If the wielder bears the Absolute’s Brand, all damage received from spells is reduced by 1.
• Fire Shield: Chill - Ice-cold flames shred light in a 3m radius. You take only half the damage of all Fire damage and deal 2-16 Cold Damage to anyone who hits you with a melee attack.
• Shield Bash: When a foe hits you with a melee attack you can use your reaction, to knock it Prone unless they succeed a Dexterity Saving Throw.

Location / Where to Find

Drops from the names Abosultist guard at the front of Moonrise Towers once you begin the assault on Moonrise post-Gauntlet of Shar.

Notes / Other Information

Pretty decent ten-turn thorn-type spell on a shield. If you want to take full advantage of it, you need to be Branded, which happened back in Act 1 when you speak to the GOblin priestess with one of your party members in the Shattered Sanctum.
