This wheel is based on a design that originally comes from the mountains and valleys of Vanaheim. It is unclear whether it serves any purpose other than to keep prisoners passive and exhausted until they can be used for more productive tasks.

Description

The Wheel of Pain can be built using x75 Shaped Wood, x50 Brick, x200 Iron Reinforcement, and x50 Twine. You can build a Lesser Wheel of Pain using x200 Wood, x200 Stone, x50 Iron Bar, and x50 Twine, or a Greater Wheel of Pain using x200 Insulated Wood, x200 Hardened Brick, x200 Steel Reinforcement, and x150 Twine.

The Wheel of Pain is an essential item for breaking in thralls. Once you have a thrall, you can assign them to a wheel of pain and wait for them to “process”. After the set time expires, which will vary between each thrall, you’ll be able to use the thrall as a loyal follower.

If you want to improve the speed at which thralls are produced using the Wheel of Pain, you should focus on getting a Taskmaster thrall first. These can be assigned to the Wheel of Pain and then used to urge new thralls to work harder, thereby decreasing the amount of time it takes for them to become loyal followers.
