Background / History

Mass Pike Tunnel West is a location in the Commonwealth situated along the Massachusetts Turnpike. It serves as an entrance to the Mass Pike Tunnel and connects to the Mass Pike Interchange.

Layout

The area consists of a section of the highway west of the tunnel entrance, descending into a trench with ruined vehicles scattered along the road. The elevated highway leading to the interchange has collapsed, blocking access from this direction except for those using power armor with a jet pack. A group of raiders has established an encampment near the entrance, linking the upper and lower roadways on the south side. This area is pivotal for tracking Kellogg during the main quest, using Dogmeat’s abilities to assist. A bloodied rag near the stair access indicates the presence of recent activity.
