Home of the Resistance¶
John Seed’s region features more missions than any other region in Hope County (although Prepper Stashes add to the mission total on the map screen). Most players will find themselves drawn to Holland Valley first upon completing the prologue on Dutch’s Island and begin to sweep the region from the northeast close to Dutch’s Island.

Resistance Level Changes¶
As you build the Resistance levels, you’ll notice some changes in the region. Initially, patrols on the road will be quite frequent and it’s generally a good idea to keep off the roads as much as possible. This only exacerbates as the Level increases with the addition of frequent road blocks around Level 3 and then the addition of John’s Chosen.
The Chosen is John’s air support and you’ll find yourself under fire from constant strafing runs. If you have Nick Rye as a specialist yet (and you really should this far into the region) then you may want to call him out to combat the aerial threat.
Once you finally liberate the region you’ll find noticeably less patrols on the road (very few at all actually) and no air support. This is a good time to clear out any remaining Side Missions or activities you may have or to go hunting. On top of this, you’ll receive an additional Region Complete bonus for every activity you do (Cult Outposts for example) rewarding you another $400.
