Responsibilities:

• Managing Developers: Lead a team of web developers to integrate best practices to ensure a functional and efficient development process.
• Developing New Features: Collaborate with our team to design and implement new features that enhance our platform’s functionality.
• Bug Fixes and Codebase Maintenance: Identify and resolve issues, ensuring the stability and performance of our website.
• API Integrations: Work on integrating various APIs to enhance our user experience and offer new capabilities.
• Basic Server Upkeep: Keep our server infrastructure in good working order to maintain site performance.
• Keeping Management/Team Informed: Provide regular updates on project progress to the CEO, Concept Developer, and other team members.
• Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to refine and expand features over time.

Skills:

• Strong PHP Skills: Demonstrated expertise in PHP programming, with a focus on clean and efficient code.
• Familiarity with json HTML and general Java Node.js and/or Electron.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to implement high-caliber front-end execution that closely aligns with design mockups.
• Technical SEO Understanding: Knowledge of optimizing for technical SEO to improve page speed and performance.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as most communication occurs via Slack and team calls.
• Flexibility: Ability to work remotely with a flexible schedule, dedicating 40-50 hours per week to support the company’s growth.
• English: First language or Fluent (C1/C2)

Experience:

• Desired Qualifications: Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience Managing Developers: 2-3 years in a professional capacity.
• Open Source and API Experience: Experience with open-source libraries (e.g., Leaflet) and various APIs (e.g., DocRaptor, Stripe, Paypal).
• Experience with Repositories: Proficiency in using version control systems like GitHub.
• JavaScript Libraries: Experience with JavaScript libraries to enhance front-end interactivity.
• Framework Proficiency: Familiarity with frameworks, with an emphasis on Codeigniter.
• Passion/understanding of Gaming: An enjoyment of working on a video game website and preferably, a passion for video games.
