This page of the walkthrough will take you through the correct route in order to achieve S-Rank for Leon and Claire.

General Tips

  • Complete the Game - It’s a good idea to finish all the scenarios before attempting to S-Rank so you know your way around Raccoon City.

  • Infinite Knife - You’ll want to shoot all [15 Raccoons] throughout your playthroughs with Leon and Claire to obtain the Infinite Knife which will make your S-Rank run alot easier.

  • Practice - If you find yourself struggling to finish the game with the S-Rank time limit, keep trying again and again, shaving off a little more time every run.

  • Items - in order to achieve the other Trophies/Achievements alongside the S-Rank you’ll only want pick up certain items, for example Key Items, Healing Items, and ammo.

Police Station > Underground Faclity (Both Scenarios)

  • Finding the Officer’s Notebook - Once you’ve entered the Police Station, interact with the Lever to the left of the eastern shutter and climb under, make your way to the Watchmen’s Room and interact with the shutter to obtain the Notebook.

  • Obtaining the Combat Knife - Once you’ve got the notebook head back to the Main Hall to to receive the Combat Knife from Marvin.

  • Retrieving your first attachment and Hip-Pouch - Use the Combat Knife to unlock cut open the tape that’s blocking the lever to the western shutter, then make your way to the Operations Room and head through the window to a corridor. Head to the West Office and enter the smaller room to find a Safe, unlock the safe with the combination Left 9, Right 15, Left 7 to retrieve the Hip-Pouch, now head to opposite end of the desk and unlock the two locks (left Lock Combination is NED and the right Lock Combination is MRG), inside will hold the High-Capacity. (Matilda) or the Speed Reloader.

  • Obtaining the Red Jewel - In order to gain the S.T.A.R.S Badge to access the computer, you’ll need to head to the 3F to find the Spade Key, make your into the Library and grab the Red Book from the table before opening the shortcut to the Main Hall. With the Red Book, head to the Art Room which is located on the East Side of the Station on the 2F, grab the Key Card and then walk towards the Statue.

  • Collect the Statue’s Left Arm off the table and combine it with the Red Book in your inventory. Now connect the Left Arm with Book to the Statue, which will give you the Scepter. Examine the Scepter and interact with it to gain the Red Jewel.

  • Collecting Weapons and Detonator - Head over to the Courtyard where you’ll enter a cutscene, then pick up the Cutting Tool, use this to gain access to the East Office where you can find the Valve Handle and the Fuse. Use the Fuse to permanently open the shutter to the Main Hall. Make your way to the Operations Room and unlock door inside with the Cutting Tool to find the Electronic Device, open the other door to the corridor and enter the Safety Deposit Room where you can use your Key Card to gain the Shotgun or Grenade Launcher. Head to the Shower Room on the 2F and use the valve handle to stop the steam blocking your way through, now make your way to the S.T.A.R.S Office and collect the Battery (Combine this with electronic device to gain the Detonator).

  • Obtaining the three Medallions - In order to unlock the Goddess Statue, you’ll need find three Medallions, Lion, Unicorn and Maiden. The Lion Statue can be found at the top of the stairs in the Main Hall (the Combination is Lion, Leaf, Bird). The Unicorn Statue can be found in the Lounge (the Combination is Fish, Scorpion, Vase). Finally, the Maiden Statue can be found in the West Storage Room after you’ve blown a hole in the wall with the Detonator (the Combination is Woman, Arrow, Snake).

  • Open the Goddess Statue - With the three Medallions needed, head of to the Goddess Statue that’s in the center of the Main Hall and place them all into it to gain access to the Underground Faclity.

Underground Facility > Sewers (Leon Scenario)

  • Kill G-Stage 1 - Before you’re able to head up to the Parking Garage you’ll need to take out the G, if you’re struggling with the fight use the Underground Faclity page for guidance. After you’ve dealt with the boss, head to the Parking Gararge.

  • Finding the Sqaure Crank - After interacting with the Card Reader you’ll enter a cutscene, now head through the same door that Ada went through and grab the Sqaure Crank.

  • Turning on the Power - Now you’ve got the Sqaure Crank, make your to the Firing Range and collect the Broken Key, grab the attachment for your gun out of the police car and then head through Kennels, use the crank to open the shutter then head right to find the first Boxed Electronic Part and then activate the circuit breaker.

  • Revisit the Station - Head past the Firing Range and use then open door to go back up the Police Station, use the Crank on the shutter that’s around the corner from the Art Room and head upstairs, grab the Large Gear from the East Storage Room then go to the Balcony. Take the ladder down to the Roof and head to the Boiler Room to retrieve the Club Key, exit the Boiler Room and turn lever to change the direction of the water.

  • Interact with another lever on the Roof to put the fire out, head back to the stairs you recently went up, but this time go down and enter the Observation Room. Inside you’ll find the Bejeweled Box, combine it with the Red Jewel to gain the S.T.A.R.S Office Badge, head to the S.T.A.R.S Office and plug it into the PC to gain access to the Lightning Hawk Magnum. Make your way to the Records Room to grab the Mechanic Jack Handle, then head to the Library.

  • Once you’ve arrived at the Library, use the Mechanic Jack Handle on the Jack to remove it from the bookshelves on the right side of the room. Move bookshelves one, two, and three, all the way to the right to reveal some Handgun Ammo. Now climb the ladder and cross the path to enter the door leading to the 3F Main Hall. Follow the path all the way to the end and enter the door to the right which will take you into the Clock Tower.

  • Take a look at the Underground Faclity page to solve the puzzle which will give you your second Electronic Part.

  • Retrieve the Key Card - Head back to the Jail Cell where you found the Sqaure Crank and place the Electronic Parts into the Electronic Panel to open the door to collect the Key Card, then head back to the Garage and open the Gate.

Underground Facility > Sewers (Claire Scenario)

  • Kill G-Stage 1 - Before you’re able to head up to the Parking Garage you’ll need to take out the G, if you’re struggling with the fight use the Underground Faclity page for guidance. After you’ve dealt with the boss, head to the Parking Gararge.

  • Find the Diamond Key - Procced until you meet Chief Irons, then head through the Kennels to grab the Diamond Key from the Autopsy Room.

  • Finding the Power Parts - Grab the Heart Key from the Private Collection Room and then open the door in the East Storage Room to find your first Electronic Part, solve the puzzle in the Clock Tower to find the second Electronic Part - Use the Underground Faclity page for guidence.

  • Retrieve the Key Card - Head back to the Private Collection Room and interact with the Electronic Door Panel that’s on the wall next to it. Place both Electronic Parts on the panel and position the wiring so there are three yellow lights on the bottom right part.

Sewers (Ada, Leon Scenario)

  • Receive the EMF Visualizer - Climb the Ladder to recieve the device, then use it to hack nearby devices to make your way through the sewers, once you’ve reached the end, head into the incinerator and solve the puzzle. Use this page for guidance (Sewers Ada).

Orphanage (Claire Scenario)

  • Bedroom Puzzle - Get out of the bedroom as quickly as possible, use the solution on this page to get out (and unlock the Trophy/Achievement if you haven’t already). Follow the linear path after.

Sewers > Laboratory (Both Scenarios)

  • Chess Puzzle - In order to exit the Monitor Room, you’ll need find three Chess Pieces, you’ll find the Rook Plug holding the bridge in place near the Workers’ Break Room and the Queen and King plugs will be obtained once you’ve completed the Supplies Storage Room Puzzle.

  • Use the plugs to open the door - take all the pieces from the plug sockets and examine them to reveal the correct name, now place the Bishop Piece into the socket closest to the door, from here move two sockets along and place the Knight, head over the other side and place the Pawn into the furthest socket to the right, then place the Rook in between the Knight and the Bishop then place the King on the opposite side of the Knight followed by the Queen in the middle opposite the Rook

  • Fight G-Stage 2 - Take a look at the Sewers (Leon) page for guidance.

  • Rescue Sherry or Ada - Once you’ve defeated the boss, rescue Sherry or Ada and then make your way to the Lab.

Laboratory > End

  • Unlock all doors - Once you reach the Lab, you’ll want to open all the doors now to save time, head over to the Greenhouse Control Room to unlock the hatch in the Greenhouse and the Drug Testing Lab. - Check out The Laboratory page for guidance.

  • Solve the Solution Dispenser Puzzle - Take a look at the Laboratory page for guidance

  • Fully Upgrade your ID Wristband - In order to escape the Lab you’ll need to find all the upgrades to your wristband. Here’s the locations/order you can find the upgrades.

    – Genreal Staff upgrade can be found in the Nap Room.
    – Senior Staff upgrade can be found next to the dead scientist after you’ve placed the Dispersal Cartridge (Herbicide) into the Solution Sprinkler System.

  • Get the G-Virus sample and fight G-Stage 3 - Use the recetly upgraded ID Wristband to extend the bridge to the West wing and grab the G-Virus, on your way back you’ll need to fight G-Stage 3. Take a look at the Laboratory page for guidance.

Final Boss Fights

  • Escape the Lab and fight the Super Tyrant - Once you’ve defeated G-Stage 3, take the Main Shaft down and run until you reach the fight with the Super Tyrant. Take a look at Laboratory page for guidance.

  • Escape the Lab and fight G-Stage 4 - Once you’ve defeated G-Stage 3, take the Main Shaft down and run until you reach you reach the fight with G-Stage 4. Take a look at Laboratory page for guidance.
