Kelvin NPCs

Description

Kelvin is your initial sidekick, and though he has been turned into a bit of an Internet meme for his stupidity in certain situations, your time in Sons of the Forest is made a lot easier by his presence.

Having injured himself in the helicopter crash, Kelvin is now totally deaf due to a head injury and burst eardrums, so your only way of communicating with him is via your notepad and pencil.

Using this game mechanic you can give Kelvin some basic tasks to perform such as collecting rocks, fishing or even finishing building a structure you have started.

Kelvin can be hurt or even killed, by you or cannibals but general doesn’t take much looking after. You won’t need to keep him fed and watered, but occasionally he will just sit down and take a rest. You can also instruct him to do so from your notepad every now and then, especially handy if if just keeps incessantly bring you more fish than you could ever possibly eat.

Certain tasks you can instruct Kelvin to carry out are also location dependent. You cannot tell him to fish when you are not near a stream for example. Gathering rocks on a beach is also out of the question, but in the right environment, Kelvin really can be a godsend.
