The repairs to the Eye will take longer than we expected. Vladimir wants my help with something else while they continue the work on the station.

Description

“Short Sighted” is a main mission in Starfield that focuses on repairing The Eye.

Mission Objectives

1. Go to The Eye.
2. Check in on Everyone.
3. Test the Computer.
4. Use the Wrenches.
5. Weld the Panel.
6. Install the Parts.
7. Talk to Vladimir.

Unlock Requirements

You can unlock the “Short Sighted” mission automatically after completing “Further Into the Unknown.” The mission becomes available at The Lodge on New Atlantis, Jemison in the Alpha Centauri System.

Mission Rewards (Upon Completion)

Upon completion, the repairs to The Eye will commence, and the mission provides the following rewards:

• Molecular Sieve
• Austenitic Manifold
• Nuclear Fuel
• 700 XP

Mission Walkthrough

1. “Short Sighted” will begin as soon as you finish “Further Into the Unknown.” Vladimir will ask you and some other Constellation members to help him with repairs on The Eye to enhance its capabilities for locating more Artifacts. Fly up to The Eye, and you’ll be assigned various tasks around the station.

2. Check in on Everyone:

   • Barrett will ask for help in testing the star station’s connectivity.
   • Sarah will request you to pick up a wrench from nearby.
   • Sam will seek assistance with welding the panel he’s working on.
   • Andreja will ask you to help her assemble some parts.

3. During these tasks, you may inadvertently break something. However, proceed with the tasks as assigned.

4. Return to Vladimir:

   • After completing the tasks or encountering any issues, return to Vladimir to discuss the progress and complete the mission. This will lead into the next mission, “No Sudden Moves.”

Note:
Whichever companion breaks what they’re working on will be stuck on The Eye for the next couple of missions.
