Thundra Plateau Cave Surface Cave
Description
To enter the Thundra Plateau Cave you need to chop down the pillars which surround it, and use the Ultrahand ability to attach them together in order to create one long object. You then need to make sure that it’s noon, so you can create a campfire and rest by it until that time. At this point you can pick up the object you’ve created and place it over the entrance, ensuring that the shadow faces northwards, reaching the pillar which faces in that direction. A small scene should then play as the stone moves beneath moves inwards, thereby opening the entrance.
Once inside you’ll find a chest containing the Mask of Awakening, and there’s also a Bubbulfrog that can be found by using the Ascend ability to reach the hidden chamber above.

To open the entrance, you need to wait till Noon (12 to 1) and extend the shadow of the southernmost pillar so the shadow touches the northernmost pillar.
You can do this by cutting down 4 (or more) of the nearby mushroom-tipped trees and using Ultrahand to combine them into one. Then drag the combined tree length-wise so it’s near the ground.
