Eight

By
Claire Farnworth
&
Jarrod Garripoli

Small and feisty, Eight takes his training and duties very seriously. He is relentless in his pursuit to be the ultimate fighter and looks down on those who do not share this drive.

In spite of his feisty nature, Eight is wise for his years. Driven by a need to prove himself, he has also learnt to study those around him for weaknesses that may aid him in his quest to be the best. Shunning weaponry for fists, he takes pride in his duties and abilities.

Eight is a character that uses knuckles for his weapon, meaning that he will need to get up as close as possible to attack enemies. This puts him at a slight disadvantage against some enemies, as well as a huge disadvantage against flying or enemies out of range (like on a ledge you can’t reach).

One of the pluses to Eight is that he has a bunch of different styles he can switch to, with each one having different attacks depending on how you hold the left analog stick. Another benefit to using Eight is that he is very quick and his playstyle is more suited to those who are aggressive, rather than anything else. He can run around the battlefield with ease, avoiding attacks and then dive in when he sees an opening or a weakness to exploit.

In an act of unprovoked aggression, the Militesi Empire invaded the Dominion of Rubrum. Imperial dreadnoughts swarmed the skies, assailing the unsuspecting countryside under the banner of the White Tiger. From amidst the flames of the besieged dominion, the Vermilion Bird rose in defiance, her crystal granting magic and mighty eidolons that her disciples might cast out the technologically advanced aggressors. Thrust into the tumult of war, the fate of the world and its four crystals now rests on the shoulders of fourteen brave, young warriors.
