Final Fantasy Type-0 HD

Welcome to our guide for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, the newest entry in the Final Fantasy series and the first time the game was actually released outside of Japan. If you didn’t know, Type-0 was initially released on the PSP in 2011 in Japan and while there was a chance it could have been brought overseas, it wasn’t. This led to a fan translation that came out just before E3 2014, where it was announced that Type-0 was getting a facelift and being released on both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

The HD version of the game doesn’t change too much, as the story is essentially the same. There was a multiplayer component in the PSP release, which has been removed and basically, every single item that was part of that (and any other method that was cut) can now be gotten in other ways. There’s also a few new items added to the game, such as a new costume for the characters, but not a whole lot was added.

Type 0 is a new type of Final Fantasy, one which offers a more “grown-up” type of story; it is brutal, cold, emotional yet heartwarming. It is a story that will stay with us, and we hope will stay with you for a long time. We genuinely hope you enjoy the game and the guide as much as we enjoyed playing the game and crafting the guide.

Good luck out there, Cadet.

In an act of unprovoked aggression, the Militesi Empire invaded the Dominion of Rubrum. Imperial dreadnoughts swarmed the skies, assailing the unsuspecting countryside under the banner of the White Tiger. From amidst the flames of the besieged dominion, the Vermilion Bird rose in defiance, her crystal granting magic and mighty eidolons that her disciples might cast out the technologically advanced aggressors. Thrust into the tumult of war, the fate of the world and its four crystals now rests on the shoulders of fourteen brave, young warriors.
