Where to Get Gold in Palworld

By
Jessica Dillon

Gold is the main currency of Palworld, and there are only a few ways to get it. While you will accumulate some gold just by playing the game naturally, it won’t be enough to purchase Pals or items. There’s no tutorial for the currency, so many players won’t even know it exists until it’s added to their inventory. The guide below provides a quick overview for all the ways you can acquire Gold in the game.

Gold is generally stored in your inventory.

How Do You Get Gold in Palworld?

There are quite a few ways to get Gold in Palworld; some that are more useful than others. At the start of the game, acquiring gold will be a slow process due to the limited ways in which you can make it. This changes as you begin to build a base, explore more difficult areas, and catch excess Pals. The first way you will make Gold is by opening treasure chests. Chests in higher-level areas will give you more Gold at a time. Next, you will get a bit of Gold from defeating human enemies, although this is the slowest way to get Gold in the game.

The best way to get Gold is by selling items and Pals. Just keep in mind that prices often vary. You can sell any item in your inventory, but if you want to sell your Pals, you will need to find a "Pal Merchant" iconPal Merchant or a Black Marketeer. Finally, if you catch a "Mau" iconMau, you can place it in a "Ranch" iconRanch and it will dig up ten Gold at a time. This can be a bit slow unless you have a good system going to make a mass Mau farming system.
