Claire / Moira¶
Well, Invisible Mode time! There are a couple areas in this episode that you KNOW are going to be rough. Namely the bar scene and the fire boss scene. These two parts are the real challenges in this chapter and are what we’ll cover the most.
Play through the beginning and raid the village. Seriously, pick up EVERYTHING in the bar and in the village. Everything. There’s lots of random empty bottles and items scattered around, as well as sparkles. The most important item that we can get is of course the Red Herb near the blue house, so be sure to get that. You will want to collect and horde a LOT of BOTTLES during this run, so keep finding and making them. We’ll use them on the fire boss at the end…
Continue to the point where we need to find items and go get the battery first. You can lead the monster out of the house and light-stun him for an easy kill with Claire. Not hard at all. Grab your next gun and then take Pedro to the other door for fuel (beware of the enemy on the way, to the right of the door).
This part is a little rough, but not too hard. Remember, all of the enemies come from dropping down from the roof. You can shoot them until they drop if you want an easier time. Still, this can be rough with the big guy when he shows up. Use a shotgun blast or two if you must. Go get the fuel and return to Gabe.
We now face the hardest part of the chapter. The bar stand-off. Do your best with Claire at the start, but enemies will eventually barge in. The best tip we have here is to use Moira’s AI invulnerability… if you can, of course. Use the tables and bar here to funnel enemies in and melee attack from there. You can get several easy kills this way and Pedro will help out a bit. If you get TOO overwhelmed, use a Decoy Bottle and a Shotgun Blast. Still, this is rough and BK had to restart once here…
Once Pedro turns, you just need to run away until the door opens, then exit and run around. Lead enemies around the map until Neil shows up, then head up. You may be tempted to use a Decoy Bottle here, and if you have two feel free to use one.
After that part, it is really easy sailing until the end. During the dog road, go ahead and put Moira on the door and then use Claire to melee the dogs. They have a serious attraction to Moira here, trying to interrupt her, so you can literally catch them on the wall near Moira and knife them to death. Neil will also help out a bit, despite Moira being busy and the dogs being invisible. You will want to go straight to the exit in the shotgun house, just like you did in Countdown Mode.
Continue on to the building and go meet the little girl. At the end is our final challenge: the fire boss. Ugh. Stay near the beginning at the start and kill the two enemies. Don’t waste too much on them. Now get ready… put all your bottles on Claire and approach the middle to make him fall down. Now go ahead and unload on him. Every bottle you got. I would recommend staggering out some Decoy Bottles near the end as you run out. For one, it attracts the enemy that blows up, which helps you a ton.
All your bottles will likely not be enough, so whip out your Machine Pistol and pump all your ammo into him and he’ll fall. For reference, I used 6 Exploding Bottles, 1 Fire Bottle and 2 Decoy Bottles. 18 MP rounds later, this guy was dead. From there you just need to wipe up the rest of the foes here which is likely at least 2-3 regular enemies and 1 big guy. But this is the only thing between you and the end so hop to it!
Barry / Natalia¶
Barry’s Episode 2 Invisible Walkthrough is fairly easy. Not as hard as Claire’s for sure. The biggest threat in this episode is the fight with Pedro at the very end, which even then isn’t too rough…
Once the Revenant shows up go ahead and stealth kill it. This is of course a TON harder to do when they are invisible, but still very do-able. Just go silently behind them until “R2” pops up. The one in the back (which wasn’t there in countdown mode! what the heck!?!) just needs to be killed.
Head left up the slope and in the Sniper Rifle area note there is one extra Revenant near the start of the area. You can actually use the bushes near the first house to hide and stealth kill it once it walks past. You can divide and kill the middle two like countdown mode. Go for the left one first, as you can hide and wait for the one that travels to the back. The fourth Revenant in the very back is best taken out with gunfire after finding his weakspot. After that grab the key and Sniper Rifle like normal.
Continue on to the village, which is the same as normal and countdown modes. After that run through the tunnel with the dogs and continue on past the dialog to the park area. A good thing to do here past the bus was to stealth-kill the Revenant that is looking away (he is ALWAYS looking away, which is nice) and then use a smokescreen bottle on the nearby Revenant. After that, run past it with Natalia and up the stairs, entering the door which will skip the remaining two enemies.
Everything is fairly smooth sailing from there. Stealth kill all of the Revenants until you get to the warehouse and run past the enemies there to the metal door (no reason to fight them), then make your way to the Pedro fight.
The Pedro fight is the roughest part of this episode for Barry, but that is only because of the immense damage he can inflict. Once you get a bullet in him after he breaks down the wall, he will be visible for most of the fight. Of course it is still a good idea to switch to Natalia briefly every now and again to see which of his many eyes is vulnerable, then aim for it. Keep your distance during this fight and dodge every attack you can, especially the charge which can one-hit kill you. Keep blasting away and use your bottles as this is the last fight of the episode!
Once he is down use his drill on the bottom floor and head to the tower to complete this episode on Invisible Mode and earn the trophy below!
