Cooking Pot Utility Items

Description

The Cooking Pot is an item from The Forest (2018). This allowed players to transport dirty water, and then boil it to make clean water. It made a resurgence in the Sons of the Forest, added in the Patch 5, on May 11, 2023, following on from the predecessor except for the added addition of it being used to cook various meals.

To use the Cooling Pot, you first need to fill it with water from a water source, such as a lake or river. You then need to plate it on lit fireplace. Once it is on the fireplace, you can then place several meats and others food sources into, then wait a length of time for it to cook. Once its cooked, you can place the cooking pot and the meal in your inventory, and then eat and drink when required.

The sort of food you are looking for to make meals are along the lines of

• Boiled Meat: x2 Raw Meat
• Chicken Noodle Soup: x1 Ramen Noodles, x1 Raw Arm
• Cream of Mushroom: 3x Hydnum Repandum, x3 Fly Amanita, X3 King Oyster, 3x Shitake
• Egg Nog: 5x Turtle Eggs, 1x Vodka Bottle
• Greg: X2 Raw Arm, 2x Raw Leg, 1x Severed Head,
• Kelvin’s Special: 3x Fish, 1x Oyster
• Kitchen Sink: 2x Fish, 2x King Oyster, 2x Raw Meat, 2x Turtle Eggs, 1x Ramen Noodles, 2x Oysters
• Liquid Battery: 10x Blueberries, 10x Guarana Berries
• Protein Shake: 1x Aloe Vera, 3x Guarana Berries, 1x Raw Meat, 1x Meds, 1x Turtle Egg
• The Lumberjack: 3x Fish, 3x Raw Meat, 1x Meds, 2x Arms

Cooking Pot Locations in Sons of the Forest

To find the Cooking Pot locations in Sons of the Forest, you can check out our interactive map marker links as its easier. But, if you want locations instructions, you’re best following these:

1. Go to the abandoned camp near the GPS Tracker marker located in the main island. This is the one where you find the guy hanging by the rope dangling by the large cliff face. From there, you’ll find a camp on the other side of the water, near the tip.
2. Go to a beach on the very north side of the island. The beach has a very large cliff face overhanging it, along with two washed up boats. You will need to head east from the Beach cave area and follow the road along to the Golf area to reach this location.

We also found one inside a bunker, so chances are, the various bunkers also have these. We’ve not checked the Food Bunker yet, but, we reckon there’s one in there too. We know for certain there’s a pot in one of the bedrooms of the Residential Bunker.
