What are Secret Seashells?

Secret Seashells are a collectible that you can collect throughout your journey in Koholint Island. There are a total of 50 Seasheslls to collect which will reward you with a new item every time you reach a new milestone.

  • Five Secret Seashells will give you a Piece of Heart.
  • 15 Secret Seashells will give you the Seashell Sensor, which is a device that will alert you when there is a Seashell nearby.
  • 30 Secret Seashells will give you a Tile to use in Dampe’s Dungeon Maker.
  • 40 Secret Seashells will give you the Koholint Sword, which is an upgraded version of your current Sword.
  • 50 Secret Seashells will give you a Modifier to use in Dampe’s Dungeon Maker.

Mabe Village

  • Secret Seashell #1

Cut down the grass in Mabe Village to find a Secret Seashell.

Head north of the Trendy Game Story and cut down the large patch of grass to find a Secret Seashell.

  • Secret Seashell #2/3

Catch a Blooper and a Cheep Cheep in the Fishing game to get two Secret Seashells.

Go to north of Mabe Village and pay 10 Rupees to do some fishing, then catch one Blooper and one Cheep Cheep to get two Secret Seashells.

Head into Madame MeowMeow’s House and dig out in the room to the right to find a Secret Seashell.

Head into Madame MeowMeow’s pet house and dig up the floor up to find a Secret Seashell.

  • Secret Seashell #5/6

Play the Trendy Game to win two Secret Seashells.

You’ll be able to win one Secret Seashell from playing the Trendy Game, then another after you’ve won a few more items.

Toronbo Shores

  • Secret Seashell #7

Head to this location on the map, (left), and dash into the single tree to collect a Secret Seashell. (right)

Head near the shores to find a single tree, dash into it with the help of your Pegasus Boots to get a Secret Seashell.

Head to the room in the middle left of Tail Cave to find a Chest behind a crumbled wall with a Secret Seashell inside.

To get this Secret Seashell you’ll need to go through Tail Cave where you’ll come across a crumbling wall, blow it up and head through to open a Chest with a Secret Seashell inside.

Head to the bottom left of Toronbo Shores and dash into the bottom right tree to get a Secret Seashell.

Go to the bottom right of Tonrobo Shores and dig around the tree for a Secret Seashell.

Head over to the right side of Toronbo Shores and dig around the tree to find a Secret Seashell.

Mysterious Forest

Make your way to the north exit of the Mysterious Forest and dig around the tree for the Secret Seashell.

Head south of the cave that has three stones blocking the entrance and dig in the middle of the blue flowers for a Secret Seashell.

Once you’ve acquired the Powerful Bracelet you’ll want to go to the south side of the Forest and remove the stone to reach a Chest with the Secret Seashell inside.

Tabahl Wasteland

  • Secret Seashell #14

Head into the Tabahl Wasteland and dig a hole near the trees on the right to find a Secret Seashell.

Head into Tabahl Wasteland and dig a hole against the tress on the right to find a Secret Seashell.

  • Secret Seashell #15

Remove the stone to the right of the sign on your way into Tabahl Wasteland to find a Secret Seashell.

Remove the stone to the right of the sign at the northwest of Tabahl Wasteland to find a Secret Seashell.

You’ll get a Secret Seashell for completing the Dampe’s fourth challenge.

Goponga Swamp

Head past the Telephone Booth and dig around to find a Secret Seashell.

Exit the Mysterious Forest to the north and head past the Telephone Booth, dig around to find a Secret Seashell.

Koholint Prairie

Head down the stairs south of the Witch’s Hut and dig in the center of the patch of a grass to find a Secret Seashell.

Pothole Field

Head west of the Ukuku Prairie teleporter and dash into the tree that’s beside the Telephone Booth to get a Secret Seashell.

Proceed up the stairs above the Key Cavern entrance and dig in the small patch of grass to the left for a Secret Seashell.

Swim over to the far left platform to the right of the Key Cavern and remove the plant to collect a Secret Seashell.

Head into the water to the right of Key Cavern and remove the plant of the small island to get a Secret Seashell.

Once you’ve acquired the five golden leaves and gone down Richard’s secret stairs, open the chest to the left for Secret Seashell.

After you’ve acquired the five golden leaves and Richard has revealed the secret stairs, head down and then left to open a Chest with a Secret Seashell inside.

Go back to where the large Skull lays beside the stairs and remove it, now dig up the ground to get a Secret Seashell.

Head to the island to the left of Catfish’s Maw and make your way through the cave and exit out to the roof through the crumbling wall to the reach the top, then dig a hole to the left of the Owl Statue to get a Secret Seashell.

Head to the island to the left of Catfish’s Maw and head into the maze, remove the stone in the corner to find a Secret Seashell.

Kanalet Castle

Head to the right of the Seashell Mansion and dig a hole in the corner to find a Secret Seashell.

Proceed over to the right of the Seashell Mansion and dig a hole in the corner to find a Secret Seashell.

Swim along water around Kamalet Castle until you find a waterfall, dive into it to find Secret Seashell.

After you’ve acquired the Flippers you’ll want to swim around Kamalet Castle until you reach a Waterfall, dive into it to find a Secret Seashell.

Martha’s Bay

Smash the vases in the Ghosts home to find a Secret Seashells.

Smash the vases inside the Ghost’s house to find a Secret Seashell.

Once you’ve acquired the Flippers, head over to a small detached island and remove a plant to find a Secret Seashell.

Go through the cave you used to reach Seashell #21, but exit out of the left exit instead, continue following the path around an dig a hole in the corner to the right of the Telephone Booth for a Secret Seashell.

Head to the island to the right of Catfish’s Maw and follow the path down, cross the bridge and dig a hole to the left of the Owl Statue for a Secret Seashell.

Animal Village

Collect the Secret Seashell from Cristine after delivering the Goat’s Letter.

Once you’ve successfully delivered the Goat’s Letter, head back to Cristine and collect a Secret Seashell.

Speak with Zora in his home to get a Secret Seashell.

Speak with Zora in the Animal Village to get a Secret Seashell.

Yarna Desert

  • Secret Seashell #35

Head to the far right of the desert and dig a hole between the cactus to find a Secret Seashell.

Head to the far right of Yarna Desert and dig a hole below the Owl Statue and in-between the cactus to find a Secret Seashell.

Head to the bottom right of the desert to find a Secret Seashell.

Head to the bottom right of Yarna Desert to find a Secret Seashell hidden under a stone.

Play the Ballad of the Wind Fish at the entrance of the desert to get a Secret Seashell.

Play the Ballad of the Wind Fish song on your ocarina at the entrance of Yarna Desert to get a Secret Seashell.

Tal Tal Heights / Rapids

Teleport over to Tal Tal Heights and go right, throw a Bomb into the hole to get a Secret Seashell.

Use your ocarina and teleport over to Tal Tal Heights, then equip the Bomb and throw into the hole on the right for a Secret Seashell.

  • Secret Seashell #39/40

Use the Hookshot to pull yourself over to the center of the Rapids where the Secret Seashell will be waiting.

Go on the rapids and equip the Hookshot, use it to pull yourself to the center platform and then dig up the Secret Seashell. Then restart and finish the race in under 35 Seconds for another Seashell.

Take the stairs up from the Face Shrine to find a Chest with a Secret Seashell inside.

Ancient Ruins

  • Secret Seashell #42

Enter the Ancient Ruins and take out the guards and then head down the stairs in the center.

Make your way into the Ancient Ruins and take out the guards, then proceed over to the center go down the stairs to find a Chest with a Secret Seashell inside.

Go to north of the Ancient Ruins and remove the stone in the top right corner for a Secret Seashell.

Exit the Ancient Ruins and head north, proceed to the far right of the maze to find a Secret Seashell under a stone in the corner.

Tal Tal Mountain

  • Secret Seashell #44

Head up Tal Tal Mountain and throw a Bomb into the hole on the left to get a Secret Seashell.

Once you reach the top of Tal Tal Mountain you’ll want to go left and throw a Bomb down the hole to get a Secret Seashell to launch out.

Go to the right of Tal Tal Mountain and remove a stone to get a Secret Seashell.

Head right ontop of Tal Tal Mountain and remove the stone at the end of the bride to get a Secret Seashell.

  • Secret Seashell #46

Find a Small Waterfall on Tal Tal Mountain and dive down into it to find a Secret Seashell.

Jump down into water on the mountain and locate a Waterfall in the center, dive into it for Secret Seashell.

  • Secret Seashell #47

Head to the east of Tal Tal Mountain and go through a cave to find a Secret Seashell in a Chest at the end.

Proceed to the East side of Tal Tal Mountain and go through the cave and open the Chest at the end to collect a Secret Seashell.

  • Secret Seashell #48

Obtained from a Chest in Eagle’s Tower after defeating the Hinox.

You can collect this Secret Seashell from a Chest after defeating the Hinox in Eagle’s Tower Dungeon.

Mt. Tamaranch

  • Secret Seashell #49

Remove the stone to the right of Mt. Tamaranch to find a Secret Seashell.

Upon reaching the top of Mt. Tamaranch, head right and remove the stone in the corner to find a Secret Seashell.

  • Secret Seashell #50

Head to the left of Mt. Tamaranch and dig a hole to find a Secret Seashell.

For the final Seashell you’ll want to head left on Mt. Tamaranch and dig some holes to find a Secret Seashell.
