Before hitting a rock, try to clear away any flowers or rubbish that might be in the way.

Each day one of the rocks in your town will give out money when you hit it with your shovel. To maximise your returns from the rock dig a row of three holes just behind yourself when facing the rock.

This means that when you hit the rock with your shovel, the recoil won’t put you out of reach of the rock so that you can hit it more times within the time you have to get bells.

You only have a limited amount of time before the rock stops giving money which is why this tip is very useful.

Bells will come out in eight increasing denominations: 100, 200, 300, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 and 8000 . If it’s your luck day, these amounts will be doubled.

Each day there is also a fake rock. If you learn the location of all the rocks in your town you can easily work out which rock is fake.

When you hit it, the fake rock gives out a gem which you can take to Cyrus for customisation. If you hit the Money Rock with the silver shovel you will get gems instead of bells.
