Flower arches serve no purpose besides looking nice.
In addition to the important Public Works Projects outlined in the previous pages, there are numerous projects that you can build simply to pretty up your town.
Of the lot, bridges (you can have up to 3) are the most important, as they allow you to navigate town more easily. Not counting bridges, you can build up to 30 decorative projects in total, so you’re spoiled for choice!
Unless stated otherwise, you will receive requests for projects from your villagers (very rarely!), when they alert you–up to once per day. Typically, the type of project requested depends on the villager’s personality.
If you desire a specific project, you may want to wait a long while, before running in front of the corresponding villager with your pockets full of bells or other untradeable items.
