You need to be playing as Goku to begin this substory, plus you also need to have completed Good Ol’ Goku to make it appear in the Far Southern Islands Area. Goku asks Baba if she can find any strong fighters from the Other World to do battle with, but she can’t think of any. Goku mentions Kid Buu, so she goes to ask King Yenma about it. To avoid disaster, they arranged for Kid Buu to fight in the Land of the Kais, so that is where you will find him waiting for you. If you remember the fight with Kid Buu in the main story, there’s not much different here, although he seems to follow a pretty significant pattern.
He will start with Calamity Blaster, which is a melee attack that, if it hits, will lead to a cinematic finisher. Following that will be not just one Kamehameha, but two of them back-to-back. After the Kamehamehas, Kid Buu will likely pull out the Rolling Attack. While it was slightly random before, he will always do six of these, unless he hits you with one, as he’ll stop performing them. He will use the Kamehamehas again, then begin from the top of his repertoire. Kid Buu might mix things up a little bit with a melee combo that you should definitely not block, as he will break your guard with the full combo. One thing you can do for free damage, since Kid Buu will be using a lot of beam attacks, is time your own for a beam struggle. If done right, all you have to do is mash a button for free damage.
