Begin the Main Mission: Excavation Site
Description¶
When controlled, Forward Operating Bases reveal Banished and UNSC activity in the surrounding region, serve as fast travel hubs and rally points of UNSC Marine fire support, and prove access to vehicle drops, weapons, and weapon variants. Gaining Valor unlocks available resources at all captured FOBs. Defeat the Banished and access the terminal to claim this FOB.
Defeat the Enemies¶
Once you’ve initiated the main mission, Excavation Site, head northwest of the Excavation Site to find one of the Outposts belonging to the Banished, Fob Alpha. Here you’ll need to defeat all the enemies within the area which include Grunts, Brutes, and Jackals. You can sit back and hide behind a rock near the entrance of FOB Alpha and pick off the enemies with a long range weapon such as the Skewer or BR75. After you’ve cleared out all the enemies, interact with the control panel to capture FOB Alpha. Finally, collect the UNSC Audio Log which can be found leaning up against a container on the platform.
