inFAMOUS Second Son

Light It Up

By
Jarrod Garripoli

This mission is similar to Catching Smoke, as you will go around and drain Core Relays to get some more abilities for your newly acquired Neon power. For the first Core Relay, you will obtain the Laser Insight ability, which lets you zoom in and slow down when aiming with the Neon regular shot. With this, you can hit the blue highlighted spot to gain Good Karma, or hit a headshot to get Evil Karma.

To get to the second Core Relay, you’ll have to follow Fetch’s trail. Take your time and don’t rush too much, although the game will point you in the right direction if you get too lost. Your new ability is Stasis Bubble, which is similar to Sulfur Bomb, although you can still hit the weakpoints of enemies when they’re in Stasis Bubble.

We can see Delsin practicing two new abilities, Laser Insight (left) and Stasis Bubble (right).

Follow Fetch’s trail to get to the third Core Relay, which will net you the Phosphor Beam ability. This is similar to the Cinder Missiles, as it uses Heavy Ammo and that recharges whenever you drain a Neon power source. The last Core Relay will give you the Orbital Drop for the Neon power, Radiant Sweep. This functions the same as the Karma Bomb for the Smoke power, so nothing is new here and the mission is over.

It’s been seven years since the Cole McGrath episodes and the world has clearly changed. Anyone showing signs of being a so-called “bio-terrorist” is immediately handed over to the Department of Unified Protection (DUP) – a government agency created to ensure there is never a repeat of the catastrophic events of Empire City and New Marais. So Delsin, who has never been particularly respectful of authority, finds himself caught in the DUP dragnet, and decides he’s not going to go quietly.
