This is a guide for the second chapter in The Last of Us: Part 1 DLC, Left Behind. It’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to finding all halloween shop optional conversations and how to win the brick throwing contest.

Where To Find The Mallrats Optional Conversation¶
After you’ve acquired the Med-Kit for Joel you’ll find yourself meeting up with Riley. Here you’ll want to follow her up the stairs and crawl through the door, then approach the table in the middle of the room to find the Wanted Poster. Continue to follow Riley until you reach the mall, then go down the escalator and approach the Typhoon Blitz super soaker advert for an optional conversation.

Proceed further into the mall until you have to go down some more stairs, then go over to Riley when she mentions Winston to trigger another optional conversation. Enter the tent and interact with the magazine on the blue shelf for an optional conversation, then you’ll have an option to accept or refuse an alcoholic drink. Your choice here makes no difference, so go with what you feel is right.

Exit the tent and approach the horse saddle on the opposite side for another conversation, then follow Riley until your path is blocked. Help Riley lift the metal pole by holding 
, but unfortunately it breaks, so boost Riley up into the store on your right.
List of All Halloween Shop Optional Conversations¶
Enter the Halloween Shop and you’ll have multiple optional conversations you can have with Riley and they can be triggered by doing the following steps:
- Put on the Wolf Mask and press as quickly as possible until bar reaches the top.
- Put on the Witch Mask and speak to Riley.
- Approach the Vampire Mannequins and wait for her to put on the Vampire mask before speaking to her again.
- Put on the Triple Phoenix Mask and speak to Riley.
- Go over to the back right corner of the store and pick up the jar of eyeballs and speak with Riley.
- Finally, go over to the corner on the opposite side and interact with the ‘Skeleseer’ skull and press to trigger the last optional conversation in the store.
How To Win The Brick Throwing Contest¶
Save your game, exit the store and you’ll participate in a brick throwing contest with Riley. If you beat her, then you’ll obtain the Brick Master Trophy. Aim your brick at the window of the vehicle and you’ll see a green triangle which indicates you’re on target. Pick up any of the bricks which are scattered around the area, then smash the side windows and sunroof before making your way over to the front of the vehicle.

Here you’ll want to smash the front window before smashing the last two on the left side. You’ll now be given three optional conversations, so listen to one and reload your save and listen to the other ones.After you’ve finished listening to the optional conversations, follow Riley down some more stairs, then enter the room on the left side to find the Warning Note sitting on a desk. Finally, return to Riley and interact with the generator before meeting her at the double doors and wait for her to open them to bring the chapter 2 of the Left Behind DLC to a close.
