Information about the Armor Attribute in Diablo Immortal. What does Armor do, and how to improve your Armor score?
What Does Armor Do in Diablo Immortal?¶
Your Armor is a relative value, and if your Armor is higher than expected for your character level, you’ll enjoy greater damage reduction when you block attacks and will sustain less critical hit damage, while if your Armor is lower than expected for your character level, you may sustain more critical hit damage.
How to Increase Your Armor Attribute¶
Armor is a secondary attribute in Diablo Immortal, and as such it is derived from numerous sources, including your Fortitude attribute, equipped Normal Gems, and by upgrading the [Legacy of the Horadrim].
Fortitude¶
Most gear generally gives you flat bonuses to Damage or Life, as well as having a Magic Property and potentially a Legendary Property. In addition, equipment will give you Attribute bonuses, with rarer, higher level equipment granting higher Attribute bonuses. Any piece of gear - provided it’s at least of Rare quality or higher should have bonuses to two different Attributes on it. What two attributes a piece of equipment has on it is random, as is the value of said Attribute bonuses.
In addition to gear, your Resonance score modifies the Base Attribute bonuses your equipped gear grants you, with a higher Resonance score yielding a higher percentage bonus to your Attribute scores. Since many other derived stats like Armor, Armor Penetration, Combat Rating, Damage, Life, Potency and Resistance are directly influenced by your Attributes, your Resonance score is immensely important, and does much to determine your overall effectiveness in combat. Resonance is primarily gained by equipping Legendary Gems, the rare the Legendary Gem and the more it has been upgraded, the higher the Resonance bonus, hence the higher your Attributes will be boosted.
Aquamarines¶
Socketing Aquamarines (Normal Gems, you must have secondary gear with blue gem sockets to equip) will increase your Armor attribute. Upgrading Normal Gems to higher ranks will cause their effects to increase substantially.
Legacy of the Horadrim¶
Installing Vessels into the Legacy of the Horadrim will provide passive bonuses to various stats, with the Caldesan’s Compassion and Cathan’s Piety Vessels both increasing Armor. Upgrading installed Vessels will increase the stat bonuses they provide.
You guys got Sapphire and Aquamarine gems mixed up. Aquamarine is for armor. Sapphire is for armor pen.
Fixed. Thanks for pointing that out.
