With each new stage, you face in Fire Emblem Engage, there will be new twists to keep you entertained. The Battle for Solm is no different, and although it isn’t a hard stage, there are a few sections that can be annoying to deal with. The guide below goes over how to beat Chapter 14, The Battle for Solm, with ease and how to bring home all the treasure on the map.
How to Reach The Battle For Solm¶
Once you complete Chapter 13, Heroes of the Oasis, you will be able to start Chapter 14. This is a stage with several treasure chests, so prepare to bring home a nice haul of items.
Chapter 14 - The Battle For Solm Walkthrough¶
When you start The Battle For Solm, you will need to break your army in half, with each going in a different direction. The boss for this level is once again Hortensia, who is weak against bow users. This means that Alcryst and Etie are a must who will quickly take her down once you reach the boss room and an axe user like Jade. You can also bring flying units like Ivy to cross over the indoor river and quickly traverse the map. Armored units that can offer defense like Louis.
The room that Hortensia is in is located in the middle of the map. You will want to ignore this for now. Instead, head to the top of the right and left sections. Defeat the enemies along the way until you reach the breakable door on each side. You should take both sides of your army to the doors, as additional units will spawn in as soon as you break the doors. There are also thieves in this area, so you need to wipe them out before going into the treasure rooms.
Once you have grabbed the treasure, gather both of your armies together in the center of the map and defeat the rest of the enemies, some fliers will spawn in, use your bow users to make quick work of them. For this next segment, you will want to stand at the entrance to the final room to bait out Zephia. Once this is done, quickly defeat them and then enter the boss’s room to defeat Hortensia.

There is a ton of treasure inside of the palace. Two chests are placed behind a breakable door on both sides of the map. Make sure you grab them before proceeding to the final room.
