Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition

Palomino Creek

By
Jarrod Garripoli

Palomino Creek is a small town in Red County, and is home to a few Easter Eggs. You will find this town has a number of normal facilities, like a Cluckin’ Bell, Ammu-Nation, a bank and a church. It is also home to the start of the Beat the Cock triathlon, as well as a place for young couples, called Hanky Panky Point. However, aside from the church, the Easter Eggs here are not in any of those locations mentioned above.

One of the Easter Eggs is a rusty wheelchair found at the end of the dock in Fisher’s Lagoon, which is on the outskirts of Palomino Creek. The actual wheelchair itself is a nod to the horror film, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but some people believe it ties to the Leatherface myth. The wheelchair itself has a number of different textures on it, like the front wheels having text that reads 12:30PM or 2:30PM. However, any mysteries surrounding the wheelchair haven’t been solved.

The other Easter Egg in Palomino Creek revolves around the church in the town. It has a drive-thru confession chair, where people can confess their sins 24 hours a day. The name given to this, Park ‘n’ Pray, is a play on the Pay ‘n’ Spray moniker used for the respraying locations for your vehicles. There is also a small graveyard next to the church, where you will see one of the gravestones reads “Scott Wilson, medal of honor.” Scott Wilson is the name of one of the designers of the San Andreas countryside.
