Mothman is a rarer than usual myth that centers around a real-life myth, which is based on a human that has large bird/insect-like wings, red eyes and can be sometimes be found soaring high over the land. The legends surrounding this myth usually say that there are supernatural events tied to the sightings of the Mothman, where something usually happens, like an accident with a lot of deaths. The real-life myth of the Mothman began in Point Pleasant, West Virgina, in the United States. One night, in 1966, two couples saw a large creature with wings, who had glowing red eyes. The popularity of Batman at the time, as well as the villain Killer Moth, is what led people to call this myth the Mothman.

There’s not a lot of evidence for the Mothman in the game, as most of the footage or screenshots is either fake or people using mods. There’s not a lot of reference to the Mothman, either, so if it is real or not is entirely in the air. Some people claim that there is a rock texture in Back O’ Beyond that looks like the Mothman, while others claim they see some kind of black creature flying through the air during the story mission, Stowaway. People claim to have seen the Mothman around Sherman Dam and El Castillo Del Diablo.
