Trade Routes are a feature in Manor Lords that offers players ways to open trade links to priority import and export certain goods. When your town needs certain items you can’t produce, or you want to sell surplus stock, then trade routes are a great idea. Here’s everything you need to know about trade routes and tips for creating them.
Opening Trade Routes¶
Firstly, players can create trade routes by doing the following:
- Create either a Trading Post or a Livestock Trading Post
- Click on the money bag icon next to an item you wish to trade
Clicking on the money bag icon on either a trading post or livestock trading post will create a trade route. Trade routes will now allow you to buy or sell goods of that type more often than normal. However, the price of opening a trade route can depend greatly. The price normally relates to how many opened trade routes you already have, alongside how expensive the item is that you’re creating a trade route for. Make sure you can afford the trade route you’re opening versus how much profit you can reasonably expect to make in the game.
When you have a trade route open, set how much of a surplus you wish to maintain of a stock, and then select the trade route of the item as either an import or export. You’ll now work your way to that surplus goal of buying and selling that trade route item. Make sure to employ people at the trading post to get goods into its warehouse and pantry to trade when traders come.
This concludes everything you need to know about trade routes in Manor Lords.
