It seems that some children have been rising up and raiding nearby settlements and your contractor wants to put a stop to them. The catch is that you can’t kill any of the child soldiers, so you’ll need weapons that don’t have the “DMG” icon on them, like your default tranq pistol or the Riot SMG. The child soldiers seem to have better eyesight than regular soldiers, so you’ll need to be more sneaky than usual if you’re doing this stealthy.
As soon as you land, start making your way towards Masa Village, noting the guard post nearby, which will be your first true encounter with the child soldiers. Ignore this guard post, unless you’re going for the rough diamond for one of the optional objectives. Upon arriving at the village, you’ll encounter more child soldiers and if you brought along D-Dog, then you will likely see they have a prisoner.
If you want to rescue the prisoner, subdue or put to sleep the children around the prisoner, then carry her out of the building for extraction. Your destination is the boat on the far end, which is where the White Mamba is hiding out. The best thing to do is put all of the children around the ship to sleep before you board it. There’s two things you can do on the ship, which determines how quickly the outcome happens
Boss Battle: The White Mamba¶
Approaching the White Mamba from a certain direction or by entering his chambers will begin a fight with him. The White Mamba is a pretty easy fight that is only complicated by the other child soldiers joining in, so if you have something like a sniper rifle with tranq darts, try to shoot the kids so they don’t interfere.
The majority of the fight involves you countering the attacks that the commander does on you with the CQC button. The first stage will involve the White Mamba rushing you, so wait for the prompt to appear on the screen before pressing the button. The second stage will have the kid hide from you, but having D-Dog will reveal his location.
Nabbing the commander without a fight is a lot trickier than it seems, as his awareness is much higher than normal enemies. Once you get on the ship, go to the left and climb up to the same level as him. If he’s sitting in his chair, then there’s nothing you can do to him, as he will likely dodge all of the shots you try to hit him with. Use your knocking ability to lure him up, then shoot him in the head with a tranq. You don’t need to worry about the other children as you load the commander into the chopper.
Mission Task 4
The rough diamonds are located in a green tent in the guardpost near where you land. This guardpost has children in it, so you can’t kill them, but you can still stun/put them to sleep.
Mission Task 5
When you first do this mission, you will not be able to extract the children using your Fulton Device, instead having to resort to bringing them to the helicopter. It’s definitely less time-consuming to wait until you gain the Child upgrade for your Fulton Device and come back to do this task.
