Dodgama General Information¶
There’s only one quest to hunt Dodogama in the game - Dodogama Drama which can be picked up after completing the mandatory Elder’s Recess expedition. There is only a High Rank version of Dodogama, it being one of the few monsters with no other variants (no Low Rank or Tempered versions).

Dodogama Strengths and Weaknesses¶
The Dodogama’s head will take the most damage from attacks, followed by the tail. The head and body are both breakable, while the tail is severable.
As with most monsters native to Elder’s Recess, Dodogama is resistant to Fire. More uniquely, it is weak to Thunder.
Sharing yet another trait with its Elder’s Recess natives, Dodogama is weak to Poison. It’s also moderately suseptible to Sleep, Paralysis and Stun, being strong against Blast.
Being similar to the Great Jagras, Dodogama is largely a push-over. Its magma belches can do significant damage, however, and more annoyingly, it can set you on fire. Elevating your Fire Resistance score to twenty or higher should negate this nuisance, but Dodogama is largely just a speed bump - very few special considerations need to be take to dispatch it. As mentioned above, Thunder and Poison will merely make a simple task even simpler.

Dodogama Attacks¶
The Dodogama bears an uncanny resemblance to the Great Jagras. The likeness is more than just body-shape, the two share a few attacks, including the barrel roll when its belly is full. Unlike the Great Jagras, however, you won’t find find the Dodogama gorging itself on Aptonoths. Instead the Dodogama devours rocks, and spits them out as explosive magma. It’s risky to block these medium-ranged globs of magma due to their explosive nature, as magma that lands behind or to the side of you can still deal splash damage. Instead, endeavor to roll to the side, and be wary as the Dodogama will frequently spit several times in succession. In addition, the Dodogama can also belch a spray of magma in front of its face, covering the ground in lava that will persist for a while, damaging those who tread therein. It can use these attacks interchangeably.
Not that the rocks it regurgitates are its only attacks; the Dodogama is also fond of charging, either with short charges, or longer, maw-gaping charges that leave a trail of fire behind it. Add to that an inelegant, frontwards belly-flop, lazy claw attacks and the odd tail sweep, and that’s the majority of the beast’s attack repertoire. A simple description of the attacks should suffice to make clear that it’s safest to engage at the flanks or rear, and although it can respond to attacks at any angle, its offense is front-focused, with the magma spit being the real threat, damage-wise.

Dodogama has no particularly rare materials to watch out for, everything it drops is rather common. Simply hunting it several times (preferrably during investigations) will get you any materials you may desire.
