One of the best things about Borderlands games, as well as the spin-off, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, is the Legendary items you can find. These items are gold in color and tend to have unique effects that are exclusive to that particular one. This page will concentrate on the Legendary Armor, the Amalgam.
Where to Find the Amalgam¶
The Amalgam can be found as a world drop, meaning it’s possible to get it from any loot source. Outside of that, you can also get it as a dedicated drop from the Monstrous Shroom miniboss, who can be found via the Ancient Obelisk in Weepwild Dankness. The best option, though, is the loot rabbits at the end of the Chaos Chamber, as you can limit yourself to the Armors.
Amalgam’s Stats and Effects¶
The Amalgam doesn’t actually have a special effect, like the other Armors. However, the Amalgam can roll with two extra passives on it, unlike the three passives max on other Armors. Because of this, you can get some good rolls that complement a lot of different builds. Note that there are six categories of stats that can appear on Armors, so getting five of them on a single piece of Armor can be a good thing. Also, stats from the came category cannot appear on a single piece of Armor.
