One of the best things about Borderlands games, as well as the spin-off, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, is the Legendary items you can find. These items are gold in color and tend to have unique effects that are exclusive to that particular one. This page will concentrate on the Legendary Armor, the Selective Amnesia.
Where to Find the Selective Amnesia¶
The Selective Amnesia can be found as a world drop, meaning it’s possible to get it from any loot source. You will also automatically receive one upon completing the Fatemaker main story mission. Considering this one likely won’t be max level (unless you grind bosses to get to level 40). Also, since you do not enter the Chaos Chamber until after clearing the main story, then this cannot be stronger than the normal version. Outside of the guaranteed one, the best option for farming one of these is the loot rabbits at the end of the Chaos Chamber, as you can limit yourself to the Armors.
Selective Amnesia’s Stats and Effects¶
The Selective Amnesia does not have a special effect that seems all too effective in most situations. After taking non-Status Effect damage, apply a Fire Status Effect to the Fatemaker, increase Movement Speed, and leave a Fire Trail for 3 seconds. While this effect is active, Damage Dealt is increased by Movement Speed. The biggest problem here is that you can’t really control whether you’re hit by a non-status effect damage or not, even less so in the middle of hectic combat. This means that the most appealing portion of the special effect (damage dealth being increased by movement speed) can be a hit or a miss.
