Yo-Kai Watch

Favors (1)

By
Jarrod Garripoli

Favors are similar to Requests, in that, they are mini sidequests that usually have you either defeating specific Yokai and procuring certain items. Unlike Requests, though, Favors are repeatable and some of them actually have a random objective chosen from a list of set ones. They are shown on the map as orange flags, as well as orange bubbles above people’s heads, and will unlock as you progress in the main story. If you’re running low on cash, Favors are good to do, as they will reward you money and/or experience for your Yokai.

Here, Fishy, Fishy

  • Available - Chapter 3
  • Location - By the pond near shrine at Mt. Wildwood (Day)
  • Reward - 300 XP
The girl wants you to bring her back some fish, with there being four different possibilities. The only problem with this Favor is that you won’t get a fishing rod until Chapter 5, so you will have to wait until then to go fishing for her order. Carp (needs two) can be found in rivers, Black Bass (needs two) can be found in lakes, and Catfish (needs two) can be found in either of the two previously mentioned areas. The Snakehead , should be want one, is a rare fish that can be gotten from rivers.

Evil Aura

  • Available - Chapter 5
  • Location - Old Man standing outside of Nocture Hospital
  • Reward - $28
The old man wants you to defeat three of a specific Yokai, all of which can be found inside of Nocturne Hospital. The Yokai needed are Appak (all three floors), Casanuva (all three floors), Compunzer (all three floors), Cuttincheez (all three floors), and Mircle (1/2F).

Master Fisher

  • Available - Chapter 5
  • Location - NPC located at Rolling Waves Park in Downtown (Day)
  • Reward - 500 XP
The guy wants you to catch some fish and all of the options are fishable from the ocean right next to him. However, depending on his choice, you will need to come back to get the fish either during the day or night. Both the Beakfish (3) and Cowfish (2) spawn during the day, while the Firefly Squid (1) and Anglerfish (1) only appear at night.

Miss Blossom Heights

  • Available - Chapter 5
  • Location - Doughnut Hill in Blossom Heights
  • Reward - 300 XP
The lady wants you to do some shopping for her, getting items that can all be bought from specific vendors. Carrots (3) and Cucumbers (3) can be gotten from Greene’s Greens on Flower Road in Shopper’s Row, and Chicken Thighs (2) and Slab Bacon (1) can be purchased from Frank’s Butcher Shop, which is also on Flower Road in Shopper’s Row. Note that both shops are only open during the day.

Nyunger!

  • Available - Chapter 5
  • Location - Doughnut Hill in Blossom Heights
  • Reward - 200 XP
Takeo wants you to get a Rice Ball for him, but the kind and amount will differ. You can buy all of the Rice Balls from any Everymart, except for the Shrimp Rice Balls, which are available in a limited supply on each day at the Everymart in Breezy Hills. Takeo will need 4 Plum Rice Balls , 3 Leaf Rice Balls , 2 Roe Rice Balls or a single Shrimp Rice Ball . Note that some of the items might not be on sale until much later in the main story.

Ruff Ruff Ruff

  • Available - Chapter 5
  • Location - Dog near Shoten Temple in Blossom Heights (on road leading up to the place)
  • Reward - 111 XP, $11.00
The dog wants you to defeat four of a specific Yokai, all of whom can either be found in two alleys, Behind Frostia’s Place and Academy Shortcut. The Yokai you might need to defeat are Mynimo , Signibble , Suspicioni , and Tantroni .

Favors are marked by orange icons on your map (left) and will usually have you finding an item or defeating a specific Yokai (right).

Tuna!

  • Available - Chapter 5
  • Location - Intersection by Fish Place in Uptown (where you befriended Jibanyan)
  • Reward - 1000 XP
Jibanyan will ask you to bring him some Choice Tuna, from one to three pieces of it. Despite this Favor being available early in the game, you won’t be able to obtain any Choice Tuna until later in the game. You can trade in Marlin (3) at Jungle Hunter, but they can only be fished during the day in Downtown, which can’t be accessed until Chapter 6. Likewise, Fish Place sells them, but not until Chapter 10.

Yo-kai Are REAL?

  • Available - Chapter 5
  • Location - NW of Banter Bakery in Uptown
  • Reward - $8.00
Misa wants you to defeat three of a Yokai of her choosing, with there being a total of five different ones she can pick. Both Dulluma and Dimmy can be found under vending machines and cars in Uptown, while Coughkoff can be found in trees in Uptown. The last two options are Peckpocket and Buhu , both of which can be found on Mt. Wildwood. The former is found in the grass, while the latter is found in trees.

Young Person’s Game

  • Available - Chapter 5
  • Location - Man on path leading to Old Mansion in Blossom Heights
  • Reward - $14.00
This is a pretty simple Favor, as Terry wants you to defeat three of a specific Yokai, all of whom can be found past the Rank D Watch Lock inside the Old Mansion. The Yokai he wants vanquished are Helmsman , Armsman , Komajiro or Tattletell .

Maintain the Cool

  • Available - Chapter 7
  • Location - Child at preschool in Uptown
  • Reward - 600 XP
The child wants you to find a badge and bring it back to him. Depending on the badge needed, you might have an easy time finishing this Favor. Both the Shiny Badge and Hermes Badge can be purchased from Whatta Find in Shopper’s Row, which is only open at night. The other one, the Meteor Badge , will require you to do one of a few things. You can find them in chests during Terror Time, as well as get one to drop much later in the game from Rollen, who can be found in Yokai World (Liar Mountain).
