Gear Chests will contain new Outfits and Weapons for Basim, in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. One of the first Gear Chests you might come across is at the Metal Factory location, in the Harbiyah Region. This is a restricted area, meaning that if enemies see you here, then they will immediately come after you. This page will detail how to get the Gear Chest in the Metal Factory area.

How to Get the Metal Factory Gear Chest - AC Mirage¶
The Metal Factory is a location found in the Harbiyah Region and is likely going to be one of the first areas you will find upon arriving in the city of Baghdad. Of course, that depends on where you actually enter the city walls, though. The Metal Factory is found just east of the Qutrabbul Gate, so it’s not exactly hard to miss. As mentioned above, it is a restricted area, so keep a lookout for the meter at the top of the screen that indicates as such. Restricted areas will cause any enemy that spots you to come after you, since you’re not allowed to be in those areas.
If you approach the Metal Factory from the western side, you should be able to easily get on the roof of the one building there. However, be careful in your approach, as there are two guards stationed on top of the building. If you have your Throwing Knives unlocked, then you can headshot one of the guards, then quickly move in on the other for a silent assassination. Killing these guards might not be needed, though, as the Gear Chest is located in the same building.
On the northern side of the building, there is an opening that allows you to get inside, but there’s a guard pacing back and forth. You can hide in the hay inside the nearby cart, then just wait for the guard to get close enough before killing him. Once you do that, be mindful of the guard with the horn that heads inside the building. Feel free to hide behind the wooden crates on the one side, if you wish to get rid of the bigger enemy with the horn when he gets close enough to you.
Inside that little portion, look for the ladder on the side to get to the second floor, which is where the Gear Chest will be located. Open it up to receive the Zanj Uprising Sword, or one of its Upgrade Schematics.
