The Slaver Merchant is a contract that can be quite overwhelming at first. This side quest sends you to an area that is swarming with more guards than you’ve likely ever seen in one place. No matter where you look, there is a guard that can spot you and even perform assassinations to thin them out if hard due to their placement. Even worse, you have to worry about timing a hit just right so that you kill the trade merchant with fire damage if you want the bonus reward. The guide below goes over how to complete The Slave Merchant contract and how to kill the target with fire.
When Does The Slave Merchant Contract Become Available?¶
The Slave Merchant contract won’t appear on the contract board until you have completed both the The Weapons Dealer contract and the Jailbreak main story quest. After this is done, the contract will pop up like normal on the contract board at the bureau. If you are ready to take it on, grab it from the board and use the contract section of your menu to track it.
How to Kill The Slave Merchant With Fire¶
The Slave Merchant is an easy contract that makes itself seem complex. You will be headed to the Upper Harbor, and when you get there, the place is swarming with guards. There is no way to simply fight your way through this hoard, and many of the guards are positioned where assassinations are hard. Either there’s no good way to set one up, or another pair of guards is so close that you will be seen. To avoid this, you will want to go down the left side of the Upper Harbor. Use the bushes and building to climb up to the second floor. There should be a rope leading across to the next rooftop and a strong guard below.
Climb up on the roof near the cages lined. There will be a fire-wielding guard staring into them. Make sure to use throwing knives to quickly take out the guards on the roof to keep yourself from being spotted and swarmed. All you need to do now is wait. The slave trader is easy to spot as he has two leopards following him at all times. He will eventually come to stand beside the fire-wielding guard. When this happens, simply throw a knife into the backpack of the fire wielder, and they will both go up in flames. Leave the restricted area without being spotted, and the mission will be completed.
The Slave Merchant Rewards¶
Once you are free from the restricted area, you will receive 45 components, two Power Favor tokens, and a Rostam Sword Upgrade Schematic. If you complete the mission by killing the slave trader with fire, then you will receive 65 Dirhams and two more Power Favor tokens. Once you have the rewards, the Slave Merchant contract will officially end.
