In addition to your main quest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you will come across a lot of optional content. One such piece of side content is the Tales from Baghdad, short little side quests. The starting point for the Tales from Baghdad will be marked on your map, but once you start them, there won’t be any additional markers. This page will focus on the Holy Mission Tale from Baghdad side mission.
Where to Start Holy Mission in Assassin’s Creed Mirage¶
One of the first regions you will likely visit in Baghdad is the Harbiyah region. This is found in the northeastern portion of the map, and is just north of Round City. Once you arrive in the area, go to the northeastern end, where you should uncover a few locations, like Greeks’ Gate, the Nestorian Monastery and Ditch Sluice of the Fief. On top of the monastery is a Viewpoint, in case you need to uncover the map. Just northwest of the monastery, there is a little graveyard and it is here you will find a Monk (he’s highlighted when using Eagle Vision). Speak to him to start the side quest.
How to Complete the Holy Mission - Tale from Baghdad¶
The Monk seeks a holy man buried in one of the older overgrown graves, but he is unable to reach the epitaphs written on the gravestones. You are looking for the gravestones that have a lot of weeds or flowers around them. There are a few of these around, but only one will work for the side quest. The specific one you need is located on the northern end and will have roses on the stone. It will belong to someone named Leo the Enlightened, so you know which one you actually need.
Upon inspecting the correct stone, you will call over the Monk and he will go about his business. However, some soldiers will appear and attempt to stop him. This will trigger a fight with the three Soldiers, who aren’t anything special. Remember to dodge whenever you see the bigger attacks, and parry for the lesser ones. If you time the parry right, then the soldier will be stunned and you will be able to instantly kill them. Since the Monk alluded to having a violent past, he will join you in the fight and distract one of the three soldiers for you. That will leave the other two to turn their attention to you.
Once all three of the soldiers have been defeated, the Monk will thank you for your help and the Tale from Baghdad will be complete.
