Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition

Definitive Edition Changes

By
Jarrod Garripoli

The Definitive Edition of San Andreas was released alongside Definitive Editions of Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The content of the game remains the same (so, no changes to actual missions or anything like that), with the exception of some songs on the radio stations. However, there were several changes to other aspects of the game, which includes the following:

  • Updated visuals across the board, including character models, environments, and lighting
  • Addition of GPS on the map, including custom map markers
  • Ability to customize your controls, using modern-style controls or the classic layout
  • Weapon and Radio selection wheels
  • Ability to restart failed missions, so you don’t need to drive all the way back to the mission starting point
  • Updated Trophies and Achievements
