This quest starts automatically on the Nexus, after you first meeting with the Initiative leadership. After Eos you’re able to have a chat with your sibling to advance things further, and following that your next goal is to visit planets and seek out Memory Triggers… which are scattered about for the sake of collectibles, or something. If you’re following this guide and have found the Memory Triggers on Eos, Voeld and Havarl, you’ve probably found a fairly tantalizing lead on a Nexus conspiracy. To unlock the next memory in the SAM node and continue the investigation you’ll need to tap into Kadara’s three Memory Triggers.
- This Memory Trigger is northwest of the Sulfur Springs Forward Station, south of the Kadara settlement site. Reaching this lofty Memory Trigger isn’t as easy as just making a bee-line towards the navpoint, however, as it’s on a cliff far above the valley below. Instead, make your way to the monolith near (southwest of) the Kadara settlement site - not the platform underground housing the Remnant Console and not the map marker for the monolith, but to the actual monolith itself. Use the monolith as a landmark and make your way west of the monolith, then turn southeast to find a slope you can scale. Ascend this slope past the monolith to make your way to the Memory Trigger, which is on ledge overlooking the valley below.
- Make your way to the Kadara settlement (or the Kadara settlement site, if you’re going out of order). This Memory Trigger is on the southern outskirts of settlement, on some slopes near some rocks. This is just west of a relatively large body of water, which itself is east of the settlement site.
- Follow a road to the northwestern corner of the map, named “Kurinth’s Valley”. This road will terminate at a toxic lake, where, on the southern shore, you’ll find this Memory Trigger.
After interacting with all three of Kadara’s Memory Triggers another memory will be available for your viewing pleasure. Just return to the Nexus, travel to the Habitation deck of the Hyperion, and pay SAM Node a visit. Heavy stuff, but if you were expecting more information about this “Benefactor”… well, no such luck this time.
