Justice is a member of the Civil Corps and an important part of Sandrock’s main story. He’s easy to romance and isn’t hard to give gifts to, making him a great choice for a first romance route. The guide below goes over where to find Justice, how to romance him, and what gifts he likes and loves.
Where to Find Justice¶
Justice is one of the first characters you will meet as he’s the sheriff of the Civil Corps. Generally, he can be found riding on top of his horse through the middle of town, making him easy to spot. He will also wander around the area in front of the train station. He has a small social network consisting of Owen and Unsuur. Getting close to these two characters will also net you Friendship Points with Justice. Sadly, Captain does not count, as the game doesn’t usually include animals, with X being the exception to this rule.
How to Romance Justice¶
Romancing Justice is pretty straightforward. You should speak with him daily, give him gifts, do Civil Corps commissions once they unlock, play Critters, and Spar with him. Once you are close enough to him, you can also go on Playdates for extra Friendship Points. Since Justice is a main part of the game’s story, you will earn points just for completing quests. Once he is at the three heart level or 300 points, you can try and give him a Heart Knot to enter into a relationship. The Heart Knot can be purchased from the General Store for around 128 Gols.
Once Justice is your boyfriend, you will unlock the ability to go on Dates for extra Friendship Points. At the second three heart level, or 900 points you can propose to Justice. To do this, gift him an Engagement Ring bought from the Mysterious Man on the 20th or 21st of the month. This item costs 2,000 Gols.
Best Gifts to Give Justice¶
Justice enjoys items that he can use while doing his job. Be careful, though, as stone weapons are on his disliked list. The table below goes over every item that Justice likes and loves.

The easiest item on this list is Water, which is worth six Friendship Points. The best items to focus on are making the bronze weapons, as they are worth nine points each. His most loved gifts consist of the titanium weapon lineup. These powerful weapons are worth 20 points each, but you won’t be making them in mass until later in the game.
All in all, it’s pretty easy to gain affection with Justice, even if you skimp on the gifts. The story quest and his involvement in side quests will help you gain points easily. In addition, Justice is always around the center of town, so you will likely run into him almost every day.
Justice Player Gifts¶
As you get closer to the townsfolk, they will start to send you gifts. Justice will do the same. Below are the gifts that Justice can give you and at what friendship level you can expect to receive them.
