Shadebloom can be a frustrating material to find as it’s rare and can only be harvested from one enemy in the Exiled Lands. Finding it on the Isle of Siptah is even harder as it spawns rarely. The plant is an important ingredient in making Shadespiced food, which must be used to get many of the stronger pets in the game. The guide below goes over where you can get Shadebloom in the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah, and what it’s used for.
Where to Get Shadebloom in Conan Exiles¶
Shadebloom is a rather tricky item to get as it can’t be picked from the wild like most plants. Instead, you will need to enter the Midnight Grove dungeon. Once inside, you need to defeat the Brother of the Blood boss and use a tool to harvest from his body. This will give you Shadebloom, and if you want more, then you will need to grind the dungeons, as there is not currently a way to make seeds. This can be a tedious process as you will likely need to run the Midnight Grove several times to have a decent stock of Shadebloom.
If you are on the Isle of Siptah, then finding Shadebloom is a bit harder. Some Giants will have the item on them, but this is left purely up to RNG, and some chests in Elder Vaults can randomly spawn it. The best way to gather it is to use a Convergence Trap to max out your Purge meter and grinding out enemies. Luckily, when doing a high-level purge, many players report having a significant amount of Shadebloom at the end.
What Is Shadebloom Used for in Conan Exiles?¶
Shadebloom is primarily used to make Shadespiced foods. When fed Shadespiced foods, you have a higher chance of getting rarer varieties of pets at the animal pen. This is the only way to have a high chance of constantly getting stronger pets. In addition to this, it is also an ingredient in making the Claws of Jhebbal Sag. Outside of this, the item really doesn’t have much use.
