Be careful - their spit attack induces Deprotect on your characters, so do not neglect healing with Potions when necessary. Nice and easy - begin with setup and get Vanille to stick Poison on both bosses. Reapply when necessary and they should bite the dust, or so we thought. When they near defeat, these guys start using area of effect attacks as well as powerful swipes; at this point switch to setup to give you an extra healing edge.
You can actually get Enki to inflict damage on Enlil when it uses a Water spell as long as Enlil is in the vicinity at the time. If you want to Stagger either boss, wait until Sazh gives both characters Faith and himself Bravery. Then setup is the way to start; launch a couple of attacks to get the Chain Gauge going, and switch to setup until the boss is staggered. Each enemy will need about two Staggers to go down.
It is possible to obtain Aegisol after the battle ends.
