Useful Lebron Combos in Multiversus

By
Craig Robinson

Lebron James makes his appearance from the real world into the world of Space Jam, the Looney Tunes basketball court. While Micheal Jordan did it first, it appears Lebron was the real-life basketball player to get digitally cloned and sent to the multiverse of Multiversus. Now, the basketball pro uses a mixture of basketball techniques to beat enemies. If you’re looking to master the fighter, here are some Lebron combos in Multiversus for you to excel at.

Here are some Lebron combos for you to try in Multiversus.

Lebron combos in Multiversus

Like most bruisers in Multiversus, Lebron struggles with some very extended combos. In addition, most of Lebron’s devastating finishers come from his basketball throw, along with the side special. The focus of Lebron’s combos will be on performing some quick and easy combos, while the hard part is landing the basketball throw to finish the combo sequence. You will need to use the basketball throw to get some of the combo extensions, setups, and killing blows.

It makes comboing with Lebron more difficult than other Multiversus fighters and limits his true combo potential. However, there are many creative ways to make plays, similar to Bugs Bunny with how his light attacks combo extends into specials and kill shots. This is one of fighters you need to practise before you can truly get the most out of his combos.

Lebron Combos You’ll Frequently Use

  • Dair Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-Down > Up Attack Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-Up > Special Uair Xbox-ButtonYXbox-Dpad-Up. You only need to tap the Uair for lower HP enemies, whereas higher HP enemies will need you to charge your special slightly, so the ball doesn’t whiff. You also need to take in account where the enemy is and where you are before you decide on which ball to throw. The rules are typical, but not always the case.
  • Side Attack Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-LR x3
  • Dair Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-Down > Sair Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-LR > Side Attack Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-LR x3
  • Side Attack Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-LR > Up Attack Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-Up > Combo. This is a generic combo extension if you have them in a guaranteed hitstun chain.
  • Up Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-Up > Up Special Xbox-ButtonYXbox-Dpad-Up - Quick ground-to-air juggle setup.
  • Zoning Combo - Down Attack Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-Down > Special Neutral Xbox-ButtonY. You can then follow it up with three side attacks if you want.
  • Up Attack Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-Up > Special Up Xbox-ButtonYXbox-Dpad-Up> Special Neutral Xbox-ButtonY > Special Side Xbox-ButtonYXbox-Dpad-LR - This is a little trickier and requires throwing the ball upwards and knowing it hits the side they fall on.
  • Neutral Special Xbox-ButtonY > Side Attack Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-LR > Repeat. This is not so much a pure combo, but it allows you to push enemies towards the edge of their dodge continuously is down.
  • Spike Combo: Dair Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-Down x2 > Special Dair Xbox-ButtonYXbox-Dpad-Down. The Special Dair is okay if they try climbing the stage wall, and you position yourself for it. If not, then another Dair light works fine.
  • Side Special Xbox-ButtonYXbox-Dpad-LR > Dair spam Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-Down. This is hard to do on small characters but much easier on characters like Iron Giant, Reindog, Superman, etc. Experts can animation cancel to keep it going for longer, but it is very hard to do.
  • Air Juggle - Side Attack Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-LR x2 > Uair Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-Up > Uair Special Xbox-ButtonYXbox-Dpad-Up > Uair Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-Up > Uair Special Xbox-ButtonYXbox-Dpad-Up. If you can land the full combo and land the balls to extend the Uair juggle, you can kill early. Good practice means around 50, but the 70-80 is arguably easier for beginner players. The way to get better at it is by becoming familiar to aiming the ball and the position for you to throw the ball from.
  • Side Attack Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-LR x 2 > Nair Xbox-ButtonX > follow them to the ground and Side Attack Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-LR > Up Attack Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-Up. This is an extended combo designed for enemies around 50HP. It is easy to follow the knockback and restart a combo chain, followed by a charged Neutral if you’re near the edge of the stage or an aerial combo if you think you can land the ball for an early kill.
  • Side Attack Xbox-ButtonXXbox-Dpad-LR x2 > Neutral Xbox-ButtonX > Special Side Xbox-ButtonYXbox-Dpad-LR. This is ideal for enemies around the 80 HP mark. You can easily land the special side attack and launch the enemy with five stacks of weakened into the air for a kill. If you land the ball directly on them for a hit before it hits the floor, that usually kills them, and potnetial kills earlier, depending on the map. If not, then call another ball back and throw it for a knockout before they land.

Another tip you can use for combo extensions or crazy plays is to throw a ball into the sky preemptively. It takes about two seconds to arrive in line at the height you throw it. It is possible to get some charged attack and throw enemies into the ball’s path. Different HPs require weakened stacks, which makes it hard to calculate what moves and when you can use them to make it happen. We recommend messing around with it so you can figure out how to execute these to spike enemies with them at the end of your combos and setups.

The final tip we have for Lebron combos is to consider stages. Since Lebron has a lot of opportunities to extend enemy height knockback thanks to his balls, some stages are better for abusing that kill potential. If you can get on a platform on a map and use that, you can make even earlier kills combos with Uairs and ball throws.
