This area won’t take too long to explore, but you’ll earn a bit from it. You’ll notice that there are two paths leading north. Take the eastern one until you reach the steps, then head down them. There’s a female Scientist here who’s looking for a battle.
Trainer Battle: Scientist¶
Once she’s defeated, head north past her, then west. When you reach the end you’ll find a Hard Stone . Grab it, then return to the Scientist. Turn your Dowsing MCHN on and head south past the steps. The MCHN will pick up a hidden item, an Escape Rope !
Now head back to the steps, move up them and backtrack to the entrance. This time take the western path north. You’ll come upon a second Scientist who’s walking back and forth and spinning around.
Trainer Battle: Scientist¶
Pokemon | Level | Type |
---|---|---|
Grimer | 18 | Poison |
To the Scientist’s north, behind the rocks, is another Escape Rope . Move over and collect it then head back to the Scientist and head west. You’ll come upon a Backpacker. He’s the final trainer for the area.
Trainer Battle: Backpacker¶
Pokemon | Level | Type |
---|---|---|
Herdier | 18 | Normal |
After the Backpacker’s defeated, there’s nothing else to do in this area, from this entrance at least. You may be coming back here later on to finish off though. Until then, exit back into Castelia Sewers and from there back into Castelia City itself.
