Boost Attack¶

Law’s Boost Attack is best used against enemies with high defenses or shells, such as Golems and Armadillos. This’ll allow you to deal more damage to them, and sometimes even down them.

Law’s Awakening¶
Law’s perk, Awakening, allows Law to self buff himself, increasing his attack, and elemental attack. To get this, you’ll need to continuously attack the enemy without becoming staggered. If you’re knocked to the floor, or staggered, you’ll lose the Awakened status, and you’ll have to build it up again. The Awakening status, which is shown by a glow around Law. The blue glow is the first stage of Awakening, and the orange glow is the final stage, which will increase the amount of attack, and elemental attack that you’ll be buffed for.
Law’s best Artes¶
Law has some good artes, especially for “juggling” the enemy in the air. He has fast, hard-hitting combos which allow you to keep the combos up indefinitely providing you’re not hit/staggered.
He is your typical “glass cannon” type damage dealer meaning he can deal very high damage, at the cost of his meagre defense, which is why you want to prioritize evading attacks. Not only does this allow you to keep your Awakened status up longer, thus dealing more damage, but it’s your only real way of staying alive as him. With his Boost Attack, you can lower the defense of shielded enemies like Golems, and Armadillos which can be invaluable at times, especially later on in the game.
For his best artes, Inferno Punch is extremely strong, but for the most part, you’ll want to focus on his best combos. For your normal combo, Talon Storm > Talon Hurricane > Fang Bolero > Death Blossom is great, although Eagle Dive instead of Death Blossom could be better as it’s more reliable to hit, and it positions you better for a follow-up combo.
Finally, if you’re playing as Law, make sure to get as many AG increasing passives to further sustain his combo. Another great thing to note is, although you want to stay in Awakening for the damage buff. Law can get a lot of easier Overlimit passives which allow him to go into Overlimit really quickly, allowing you to repeat his combos over and over again, so don’t be too upset if you lose your Overlimit buff.
