The Science Lab is one of the first rooms you will need to build in Two Point Campus as it is a requirement for the very first course you will be running at Freshliegh Meadows. Let’s take a closer look at everything we need to know to get the perfect lab right from the start of your game.
Science Lab Requirements in Two Point Campus¶
Description: University is the time to experiment
Features:
- Used in a range of courses
- Minimum Room Size 5 x 5
- Requirements: Teacher
Science teachers are not cheap so are an intrinsic cost with this room, unlike a room such as a Dormitory which requires no staff member, other than a Janitor to maintain it and they will be doing this in multiple rooms.
You are looking at around $30,000 for a half-decent teacher. You can get them for less but this will reduce the chances of your students passing with the higher grades you need to increase your Campus star rating.
How big should I build my Science Lab?¶
With a bare minimum size of 5x5, the Science Lab is not a small room to begin with, but the equipment you will be placing inside it is pretty large so it is easy for it to disappear quickly, so if you have the room, make it as large as you possibly can from the get go.
Also carefully consider the placement of your door as you will not be able to put large equipment directly behind it blocking the entrance
Science Lab Equipment¶
To build a Science Lab you will only need a door, A Science Hub, and a s Science Board. This will still cost you over $10,000 but some of the other equipment you will soon need can ratchet the cost up considerably. The Microscope is $16, and the Momentum Marbles (a giant Newton’s Cradle) is a whopping $25,000. Don’t think you can scrimp and save on these items as your nerdy Science Students will soon be knocking on your door requesting them and improving the facilities.
Save your Science Lab as a template¶
You will likely be creating quite a number of Science Labs as your Campus expands as it will be used in a number of courses that the game offers, so a good tip is to make sure you save your plan as a template you can easily recreate any number of them with the minimum of fuss.
