While playing through Freshleigh Meadows, the second course that will become available to you is Virtual Normality. With that course comes the ability to build and fill the VR Lab. Let’s take a look at what this brings is in Two Point Campus.
VR Requirements in Two Point Campus¶
- Description: Simulating life 10% more real than reality
- Requires a teacher
- Minimum Size 5x3
VR teachers are an extra cost, and the VR Lab is already hugely expensive at over $35,000, especially at the start of the game when cash is tighter.
With the added cost of a teacher and equipment you are easily looking at 80k minimum just to run the course. Still, it will prove a popular one and once set up should keep Tuition Fees rolling in constantly which can help balance the books in later years.
How big should I build my VR Lab?¶
If you have ever dabbled in VR in real life you will already be aware that one thing the technology benefits from is lots of space. We have all punched a monitor wearing an Oculus Rift, or missed the chair while trying to sit down (speaking for a friend there) but Room Scale VR is where it is at.
The same applies to Two Point Campus. Big is definitely better here. The VR machinery is huge, and building a room of minimum size can only just about fit the required equipment in there.
VR lab Equipment¶
Virtual Normality also generally proves to be a popular course on campus so you are likely to have lots of students wanting to be in the lab at the same time, so make sure it is well kitted out with desks, chairs, and goggles.
None of this is cheap, so watch your spending while you build it out too.
Save your VR Lounge as a template¶
You will likely be creating quite a number of VR Labs as your Campus expands as the course is a popular one. There is also a fair amount of equipment to place too, so save a little time, and make sure you save your plan as a template you can easily recreate any number of them with the minimum of fuss.
