Quests Available after Reaching Valak Mountain¶

Cook-Off Showdown!¶

After you have completed Missing Lodger and Cook-Off Final Blow?!, Ma’crish will offer this quest. However, she will only offer it if Reyn is party leader. After activating the quest, you will have to speak to Hoko, who will tell you to collect 2 Soya Paste Shells from Entma Kings on Valak Mountain. They are found commonly near the Mechonis Wound landmark and Chilkin Lair. Once you have the required materials, return to Hoko. He will tell you that he misses making his old, smelly food. You will then be asked to choose a route:

• “Make Food that your customers want.” (Route A) - Pick this route and Hoko will continue to make high quality food. Ma’crish will be upset but grateful she could have one last meal from him.

• “Make food that you want to make.” (Route B) - Pick this route and Hoko will be happy to begin making his bad food again. Ma’crish will also be very happy about the change. The HP Steal II gem is only available to you if you take this route, you cannot obtain the gem anywhere else in the entire game.

Once you have completed the quest, regardless of chosen route, you will unlock Reyn’s fourth skill branch, Impatience.

A Tantalising Treat¶

Once you have reached Valak Mountain and completed the quests, A Delectable Delicacy and Cook-Off Final Blow?!, you will be able to activate this quest from Pokapoka. He asks that you collect him 3 Pagul Cold Pies, which are dropped by Sparas Paguls on Valak Mountain. They are found specifically around Nagul Waterfall, which is southeast from the Mechonis Wound landmark. Once you have collected 3 of the Pagul Cold Pies, head back to Pokapoka to complete the quest.

Cursed Berryjammy¶

To begin the quest chain that starts with Cursed Berryjammy, a number of prerequisites must be fulfilled. Firstly, Berryjammy (Frontier Village) and Mefimefi (Colony 9) must be invited to Colony 6, and to do this you must have completed Housing and Nature up to level 3. Reaching Level 3 in Nature is very difficult because you have to find 2 Ice Cabbages on Valak Mountain, which are one of the rarest collectables in the game. If you are having any difficulty finding them, it is advised that you wait until Yura from Alcamoth has moved to Valak Mountain after the events at Mechonis Core, because you will then be able to trade Ice Cabbages with him. Another important point to make here is that you cannot have both Perrine and Mefimefi move to Colony 6; it must be one or the other. If you choose Perrine, then you will receive the quest, Weak Berryjammy instead of Cursed Berryjammy (they are mutually exclusive). After you have invited Mefimefi, you can then invite Norara from Frontier Village. Norara is the one who will offer this quest, so it is important that you invite her.

Once all of the prerequisites have been satisfied, head over to Norara in Colony 6 to begin the quest. She will ask you to speak with Mefimefi about Berryjammy’s illness. Mefimefi is active between 18:00 and 06:00 in the same area you found Norara. Mefimefi will tell you to collect a Statue Fragment from the Sororal Statues in Satorl Marsh. You will actually want to go to the Statue Summit landmark rather than Sororal Statues, and then descend the statue, the quest marker is west, so when you’re making your way down make sure to go in that direction. When the female statue is in sight, walk onto her chest, near the Ether deposit and then jump down, aiming towards a narrow ledge. On that ledge you should find the Statue Fragment. Once you have it, head back to Mefimefi, who will then tell you to take it to Norara. Speaking to Norara will complete the quest.

Weak Berryjammy¶

If you sent Perrine to Colony 6 over Mefimefi then Norara will offer this Quest instead. She mentions about Berryjammy’s illness and asks if you can track some ingredients down to make some medicine. The Juicy Grapes are a Collectible that can be found in Makna Forest or you can trade for it with Puko at Frontier Village. The Thick Nectar can be found on Bionis’ Leg as a drop from Leg Skeeters however you can trade for it with Nikita here in Colony 6. Once you have both sets of items, return to Norara to hand them over and complete the Quest.

Obstinate Berryjammy¶

After you have completed Weak Berryjammy or Cursed Berryjammy and reached 2✰ affinity with Colony 6 residents, Norara will offer this quest. She will tell you that Berryjammy isn’t taking the medicine, and has asked that you help to convince her. Berryjammy is active between 18:00 and 03:00 just southwest of where Norara is found. When you find her, speak to her using Dunban to convince her to drink her medicine. Once you have spoken to her, head back to Norara to complete the quest.

Unstoppable Berryjammy¶

After you have reached 3 affinity in Colony 6 and completed Chemist’s Reopening and Obstinate Berryjammy, you will be able to pick this quest up from Berryjammy. She has been drinking her medicine as if it were juice. You have two routes that you may take here, though it would be advised that Route A is taken since you will receive more EXP from fighting enemies, and the affinity chart will be updated positively.

• Talk to Norara (Route A) - Norara will tell you that Berryjammy is drinking far too much of her medicine all at once! She will then tell you to collect 3 lots of Caterpile Vinegar from Satorl Caterpiles. They can be found most commonly in the southeast parts of Satorl Marsh, particularly around Glowing Obelisk and the Place of Judgement. The Vinegar is a bit of an uncommon drop, so you may have to farm a few of them to get 3 lots, but once you have the required amount, head back to Norara. She will then make a weaker and more bitter medicine and ask you to take it to Berryjammy. When you take the medicine to Berryjammy, the quest will be completed. If this route is taken, Berryjammy and Norara will become Best Friends on the affinity chart.

• Give her Olga’s medicine (Route B) - If you choose this route then all you need to do is collect the medicine from Olga, who will give you it for free because you helped her reopen her Chemist’s. Once you have given the medicine to Berryjammy, the quest will be completed. This route will result in a negative affinity link being formed between Norara and Berryjammy.

Miss Sweetness Showdown! (Berryjammy)¶

The Miss Sweetness contest of Colony 6 has just begun and Berryjammy has requested your assistance in the matter. Her request is for the “world’s most transparent thing”, the answer of which you can learn from The Most Transparent Thing Quest. The item in question is the Pure Ice Flower that can picked up at Url Crevasse on Valak Mountain. Return to Berryjammy with the item in question to complete the Quest.

Miss Sweetness Showdown! (Ma’crish)¶

Ma’crish has asked that you help her to win the title if Miss Sweetness. She needs you to find the world’s most transparent thing. Beginning this quest will also automatically activate The Most Transparent Thing, which is the same quest for both routes of the Miss Sweetness Showdown! quest. You do need to complete the latter quest so that you can proceed with this one. It will ask you to retrieve the Pure Ice Flower from Url Crevasse on Valak Mountain. Once you have the flower, return it to Ma’crish to complete the quest.

The Most Transparent Thing¶

You’ll receive this Quest at the same time as you accept either version of Miss Sweetness Showdown! and your chosen client will direct you to Lalapa in Frontier Village for more information. Head to the Chief’s Residence at 09:00 to find Lalapa who will direct you to Dakuku at the Nopon Camp on Valak Mountain. He will tell you about a Pure Ice Flower that can be found on Url Crevasse on Valak Mountain.To reach it, walk south from Bagnar Snowfield and when you reach the mountain said you should see a narrow path going up the mountain. It should take you all the way up to the location of the Pure Ice Flower. Picking the flower will automatically complete this quest.

Miss Sweetness’ Gratitude¶

After you have reached 4✰ affinity with Colony 6 and you have completed the previous Miss Sweetness Showdown quest, you may pick this quest up from Ma’crish or Berryjammy. They will ask you to listen to their demands, and this will trigger the second quest A Final Sweet Favour, which you will need to complete in order to progress and finish Miss Sweetness’ Gratitude.

Once you have completed A Final Sweet Favour and have the required materials, return to Ma’crish or Berryjammy to finish this quest. After finishing this quest, fireflies will spawn at night around the lake in Colony 6. The Nopon in that area will comment on how wonderful they are!

A Final Sweet Favour¶

After automatically accepting this quest whilst activating Miss Sweetness’ Gratitude from Berryjammy or Ma’crish, you will be asked to talk to Lalapa in Frontier Village. He is active between 06:00 and 18:00 near the Chief’s Residence. First, he will tell you to fetch Fresh Algora Sap from the Sap Cave in Makna Forest. The Sap Cave is located southwest of the Nopon Arch landmark. To get into the cave, you’ll have to defeat the Brog that blocks the path. Luckily, by now, you should be many levels higher than the Brog, so it will be a short fight. When you enter the cave, change the time to 05:00 and the Fresh Algora Sap will spawn (it only spawns at dawn). Return to Lalapa in Frontier Village and he will then direct you to Zaldania Waterfall to the east of Lacus Swamp in Satorl Marsh. There, you will need to pick up a Mysterious Droplet. This quest will automatically complete upon picking up the droplet.

After this, you will be able to continue with Berryjammy or Ma’crish’s quest, Miss Sweetness’ Gratitude.

Quests Available After Reaching the Hidden Machina Village and Meeting Miqol¶

Odd Smoke - Investigation¶

There are a couple of prerequisites to fulfill before you will be able to access this quest. Firstly, you must have spoken to Miqol in the Hidden Machina Village. You must also have invited Jer’ell from Alcamoth to move to Colony 6 and to do this you need to have Housing at Level 4. Once you have been able to pick this quest up, Arda will ask you to speak to the owner of the home where smoke is coming from. You will then have to speak to Jer’ell outside of her home, but you can only do this at night. After speaking to Jer’ell, head back to Arda to complete the quest.

Odd Smoke - Resolution¶

A few prerequisites need to be fulfilled before you may access this quest. Firstly, you must have completed Odd Smoke - Investigation. You need to also have invited Mefimefi or Perrine to Colony 6. Lastly, you must have a 2✰ affinity with the residents of Colony 6.

The source of all the smoke from Jer’ell’s home is a broken machine. She has asked you to find the materials needed to repair it. She needs 3 Dated Plugs from old flying Mechon and 3 Dated Cranks from old scout Mechon. These enemies can both be found on the Fallen Arm. Scout Unit Prototypes can drop Dated Cranks, and they can be found around the Giant Mechon Debris landmark. M35 Prototypes can also be found in the same area, and they drop the Dated Plugs needed.

Nopon Determination¶

After you have completed Odd Smoke - Resolution and reached 3✰ affinity with Colony 6 residents, you may pick this quest up from Mefimefi. She tells you that Jer’ell has insulted her intelligence. She asks you to fetch the following materials so that she can prove Jer’ell wrong!

Once you have all the required items, head back to Mefimefi to complete the quest.

In Pursuit of Love¶

To access this quest, you must first invite Rosemary to live in Colony 6. She is originally from Colony 9 and you may invite her once you have reached Level 4 in the Housing reconstruction category. She will ask you to find her four suitors so that she can choose a new boyfriend. She wants you to find a timid Homs man, a rough-and-ready Homs man, a composed High Entia, and a Nopon food connoisseur.

• Timid Homs Man - Nic (active hours: 18:00 - 06:00)
• Nopon Food Conoisseur - Pokapoka (active hours: 06:00 - 18:00)
• Rough-and-Ready Homs Man - Peppino (active hours: 15:00 - 03:00)
• Composed High Entia - Yura (active hours: 06:00 - 18:00)

After you have spoken to all the males, return to Rosemary to complete the quest.

Dream of a Poet¶

Once you have completed In Pursuit of Love and reached 2✰ affinity with Colony 6 residents, you may access this quest. He will ask you to fetch the Swan Pendant from High Entia Tomb. The Pendant is found at the northest point of the map on B1F. There will be some level 35 and 36 enemies that respawn upon entry into the room, however, you are likely a far higher level than them at this point, so they won’t aggro on you.

Return to Yura, who will then ask you to take the pendant to Rosemary. To complete the quest, speak to Yura again for a final time.

The Melody of Happiness¶

Once you have completed In Pursuit of Love and reached 2✰ affinity with Colony 6 residents, you will be able to pick this quest up from Nic. He will ask you to fetch 2 Eks Iron Hearts from Makna Eks in Makna Forest. They can be found in common numbers around Eks Watering Hole. Return to Nic once you have the required materials. He will then make a Music Box out of the materials and ask you to take it to Rosemary. Speak to Nic for a final time to complete the quest.

Quests Available After Reaching Central Factory¶

A Butler’s Concerns¶

To access this quest, you need to have reached Central Factory in the Main Story quest. You also need to have invited Yura, from Alcamoth, to Colony 6, which requires Housing Level 3 and Reconstruction must be at 25%. You must then invite Gowago and not Minana from Frontier Village, you can only choose one of them. Choosing Minana will mean you have access to A Maid’s Concerns instead of this quest.

Once you have accepted this quest, you’ll be asked to take Poetry Anthology to Yura and he is active from 06:00 to 18:00 in Colony 6. Once you have spoken to him and given him the Poetry Anthology, return to Gowago to complete the quest.

A Maid’s Concerns¶

Speak to Minana and she will inform you that Berryjammy isn’t studying enough and wants you to find a suitable tutor. Make your way over to Yura who then tasks you with collecting 5 Hell Raspberries, a collectable that cannot be accessed until you reach Prison Island for the second time at the end of the game. Once you gain access, head there to track down the items and return them to Yura before going back to Minana to complete the Quest.

Nic’s Training¶

To access this quest, you must have already completed Nopo’rikh’s other quest, Looking For Freedom. You must also have invited Nic to live in Colony 6, which requires Level 5 Housing in the reconstruction side quest. He will ask you to help train Nic by defeating the Canyon Valencia near Raguel Bridge on the Bionis’ Leg. You can only find the level 78 unique monster on a clear day. You will want to fast travel to the Observation Platform on the Upper Level of the Bionis’ Leg, since the monster flies around there, high above Raguel Lake. If he is hugely over levelled in comparison to your party, but you don’t want to wait till you’re a higher level, consider activating Casual Mode in the main menu. If you are a lower level, then you may have already used Casual Mode to collect the materials from the higher level enemies to complete Housing to Level 5. It will still be a tough fight, but you’ll actually be able to land hits and do some damage. Once you have defeated the Canyon Valencia, return to Nopo’rikh who will then tell you to go back to Bionis’ Leg and slay 10 Tempest Vangs. They are level 75 Vangs that can be found in Windy Cave beneath the Spiral Valley landmark. Once more, the advice about Casual Mode could also come in handy here, if you’re a lower level.

When you return to Nopo’rikh, he will ask you which you found hardest: the 1 strong enemy or the 10 weaker ones. Your choice does not matter to the outcome of the quest, your rewards will be the same.

Nic’s Final Test¶

After completing Nic’s Training and reaching 4✰ affinity with Colony 6 residents, you’ll be able to pick this quest up from Nopo’rikh. He will first ask you to go defeat the Indomitable Dauton, who can be found near Soter Ruins in Satorl Marsh. When you walk up to the platform to defeat the enemy, you will likely also trigger a fight with a few lower level Baelzeb Gogols. You’ll probably have to fight them as well as the Indomitable Daulton because they surround him closely. When you return to Nopo’rikh, he will then tell you to return to Satorl Marsh again and defeat 10 Grove Quadwings. They can be found at night all across Satorl Marsh, but most commonly in Barren Moor and near Dark Swamp. When you have defeated 10 of them, return to Nopo’rikh to complete the quest.

Family Secrets¶

This quest is available from either Zel Argentis or En Argentis, depending on whom you invite to Colony 6. The prerequisites to invite either sister are the same; their father, Don Argentis must have moved to Colony 6 already. This requires Housing and Nature to be at Level 4 in the reconstruction process. To invite Zel and En, however, you must have Housing at Level 5. It is worth mentioning that whilst the rewards and quest objectives for Family Secrets are identical depending on who you choose, there are mutually exclusive quests that follow that are different. There are also different prerequisites for accepting this particular quest, depending on who you invite:

• En Argentis - It will likely be easier for you to fulfill the prerequisites for En’s version of the quest if you are still only as far as Central Factory in the game (which is when you can technically pick up this quest). Peppino must have been invited to Colony 6, which also requires Level 5 in Housing. En Argentis and Peppino will date if she moves to Colony 6.

• Zel Argentis - If Zel has moved to Colony 6, then the prerequisites will be slightly higher level than En’s version of this quest. Firstly, you must have cleared the Mechonis Core. You must also have invited Oleksiy to Colony 6, which requires Level 4 in Housing and Special. To complete the Special category to Level 4, you must have access to the Bionis’ Interior (post Mechonis Core), in order to retrieve certain materials. Zel Argentis and Oleksiy will date if she moves to Colony 6.

Whichever sister you choose, they will ask you to talk to their father, Don Argentis to keep him company. You will have to talk to him a total of four separate occasions. After speaking to him, head back to whichever sister you chose to complete the quest.

Betrothal Test (En Argentis)¶

Once you have reached 4 affinity with Colony 6 residents and have also completed En Argentis’ quest, Family Secrets, you will be able to pick this quest up from Peppino. He asks you to help him collect items to prove his love to Don Argentis. He wants you to collect 2 Wisp Bliss Rings and 2 Slobos Ice Rocks. The Slobos Ice Rocks can be obtained from various Slobos-type enemies found around the Nopol Tower landmark on Valak Mountain. It is a bit of a rare drop, but luckily there is an abundance of Sloboses on the lower level of Valak Mountain, so farming should be straightforward enough. The Wisp Bliss Rings can be dropped by Tramont Wisps near the Digit 2 Plain landmark. There are plenty of them around that area, so once again, obtaining 2 Wisp Bliss Rings shouldn’t take too long at all. Once you have the items, head back to Peppino in Colony 6 to complete the quest.

Betrothal Test (Zel Argentis)¶

Once you have reached 4 affinity with Colony 6 residents and have also completed Zel Argentis’ quest, Family Secrets, you will be able to pick this quest up from Oleksiy. He asks you to help him collect items to meet the demands of Don Argentis. He wants you to collect 5 Scratched Jewels and 2 Lucky Chilkin Rings. You’ll find the Scratched Jewels from Perna Eluca in Eryth Sea and you’ll find plenty of them at the Latael Shore Landmark. Lucky Chilkin Rings can be found on Chilkins on Valak Mountain, all Chilkins can drop this. Once you have the items, head back to Oleksiy in Colony 6 to complete the quest.

Stopping the Elopement (En Argentis)¶

To have access to this quest, you must have already completed Betrothal Test (En Argentis). Don Argentis will ask you to find his daughter, who has run off with Peppino to Tephra Cave. You won’t actually find them in Tephra Cave itself, instead they will be on Kneecap Hill, near the cave entrance onto Leg Pass. You’ll find them standing near the edge of the cliff. To talk them away from the cliff, you’ll need to have Sharla as the party leader. She will tell them to return to Colony 6. When you have done this, return to Don Argentis to complete the quest.

Stopping the Elopement (Zel Argentis)¶

To have access to this quest, you must have already completed Betrothal Test (Zel Argentis). Don Argentis will ask you to find his daughter, who has run off with Oleksiy to Satorl Marsh. You’ll find the pair at the Nopon Refuge and need to have Sharla as the party leader and she will tell them to return to Colony 6. When you have done this, return to Don Argentis to complete the quest.
