Mechonis Field Side Quests¶
Mechonis Field has a handful of side quests that are available from the NPCs in the Secret Area, Machina Refuge. You can find the Machina Refuge by sliding down the ramp near the Great Battle Scar landmark onto the second platform from the top and then climbing up a wall into an enclosed room. It is also worth mentioning that these quests are on a time limit, meaning they will expire after you complete the story quest at Meyneth Shrine.
Best Boots¶

After you have completed To My Loved One…, you will be able to access this quest from Bozatrox. She will offer to make you some boots as a thank you, but first she will need you to collect the materials needed from Mechon enemies in the Mechonis Field. She needs 2 Reinforced Plungers and 2 Reinforced Jets. Both materials can be obtained from enemies on the Third Floor of the Mechonis Field. Jets can be dropped by Offensive/HONEYs, and Plungers can be obtained from M84/GRUNTs. Once you have the items you may return to Bozatrox to complete the quest. Upon completion of the quest, you will receive the heavy boots, M100 Greaves.

A Garrisoned Troop has asked you to defeat 3 M66/TRICK Mechon Units in Mechonis Field. They can be found in numerous locations, including 1F Main Power Switch on the First Floor and near the 3F Main Power Switch on the Third Floor. Once you have defeated 3 of them, you will automatically complete the quest.

The Garrisoned Troop at Machina Refuge has asked you to defeat the level 60 unique Mechon enemy, Revolutionary Bifrons. The enemy can be found on the Fourth Floor near the Upper Bulkhead Bridge landmark. Defeating the enemy will complete the quest.
The Revolutionary Bifrons is a unique monster found near Power Supply Area 1 in Mechonis Field.

The Garrisoned Troop at Machina Refuge has asked you to defeat the level 58 unique Mechon enemy, Infernal Crocell. The enemy can be found on the Fourth Floor around Power Supply Area 2 near the Upper Bulkhead Bridge landmark. Defeating the enemy will complete the quest.
The Infernal Crocell is a Unique enemy found near Power Supply Area 2 in Mechonis Field.
