Dragon’s Dogma 2 Warfarer is the final vocation players will unlock as they progress through the base. This is effectively an endgame class, allowing you to combine weapons, abilities, and more from other Dragon’s Dogma 2 classes into this one class so you can mix and match to create your own playstyle.
After playing dozens of hours, we have managed to unlock all of these classes and are able to give you a quick and easy rundown of the steps to unlocking the Warfarer. Although, it is a long trek to reach the class’s Maister.
How to unlock the Warfarer in Dragon’s Dogma 2¶
The Warfarer is unlocked by visiting Lamond who is located in the Volcanic Island Camp by the hot springs in the very south of the map. Here you will need to speak with him and then give him three Newt Liqueur, and upon giving him the third one you will unlock the class.
To access the island, you will pass through Drabnir’s Grotto and when emerging from the other side you can follow the path all the way to the camp in the center of the island on the world map.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Newt Liqueur Locations¶
Newt Liqueur is relatively rare in the game, but by the time you reach the island, you should have one or two. Below are the Newt Liqueur locations we are aware of:
- You can grab one from the Windwalker’s Home on the island.
- Additionally, you can buy the rest from Higgs’ Tavern in Bakbattahl. To access his shop, you will need a Beastren Mask from the Forgery in the Checkpoint Rest Town and to move the sandbags just outside the door into the pen. You can now buy the rest of the Liqueur.
- Loot one from the Forbidden Magick Research Lab, more specifically inside the Chemical Stores Room. Map Marker
From there, simply head back to the island and you will have the Warfarer once you hand over the items.
You will have to wait until the latter half of the game to realistically be able to reach the island, however. Upgraded gear, boosted stats, and a high-rank Vocation are all necessary to be able to defeat the bosses and tackle the challenges along the path down to the island. Don’t set your sights on grabbing this class early on. It is an endgame class after all and if you continue to talk to him you can unlock the Rearmament ability, which allows you to blend classes and other Vocations into the Warfarer.
That covers how to unlock the Warfarer class in Dragon’s Dogma 2. It is one of the more difficult classes to find as you won’t need to visit the island until late in the main story unless you decide to venture off the main path. For even more on the classes, be sure to check out our guide on how to unlock the Magick Archer vocation while you are on the island in Dragon’s Dogma 2, which is only usable by the Arisen.
