Patch 6.2 saw the addition of the Island Sanctuary which is an island that player’s can use to craft, farm and escape from the busy Warrior of Light lifestyle. This page will provide you with the necessary steps to finding Iron Ore.

Craft a Bronze Beakaxe¶

Once you’ve gained access to your own private island you’ll need to progress through the Sanctuary Ranks until you reach Rank 8, then you’ll need to craft yourself a Islekeeps Bronze Beakaxe in order to mine and obtain Iron Ore. However, you’ll need to get your hands on 3 Island Logs, 3 Island Copper Ore, 4 Island Tinsand, 3 Island Cotton. Below you’ll find the locations of these resources:

Where To Find Island Logs¶

You can gather Island Logs by interacting with Tualong and Mahogany Trees which are scattered between the Pristine Pond and the Eastward Stream.

Where To Find Island Copper Ore¶

You can gather Copper Ore by mining Bluish Rocks which can be found between the Gentle Slope and Pirate Bay, so head to [X:17.0, Y:14.6]. However, you’ll need to make sure you have crafted the Islekeeps Stone Hammer.

Where To Find Island Tinsand¶

Before you can gather Island Tinsand you’ll need to reach Sanctuary Rank 5, then craft the Islekeeps Shovel. Island Tinsand is obtained from mining Submerged Sand which can be found along the Northward Stream, so head over to [X: 17.9, Y:21.2] and head north.

Where To Find Island Cotton¶

Before you can gather Island Cotton you’ll need to reach Sanctuary Rank 6, then you’ll need to craft an Islekeep’s Copper Scythe. Island Cotton is obtained from Cotton Plants which are located at Peak Point, so head over to [X:27.3, Y:29.0].

Island Iron Ore Locations¶

After you’ve crafted the Bronze Beakaxe you’ll finally be able to venture out in The Wilds and get your hands on some Iron Ore. These can be obtained by mining Rough Black Rock which can be found in two seperate areas in The Wilds. Rough Black Rocks can be found at the Sunrise Lookout which is located at [X:26.3, Y:19.4] or Rocky Reef which is located at [X:29.7, Y:10.6].

If you are looking to farm up a large amount of Iron Ore, then it’ll be a good idea to switch between these two locations whilst waiting for the nodes to respawn.
